this is what i was saying from the beginning
he s just a protective father
he just care 4 his daughter & try to save his daughter frm rk
cause he thought that madhu is suffering so much in rk's place
& always rk behaved so rude with madhu in front of shammu
that's why he tried to remove rk from her path by killing
cause he doesn't have 40 lakhs to give him to free madhu
he had no other option than this in his pov
