ALL Good morning
@Zet and others who commented on my post Thanks
1HappyGirl - You have very well articulated P's personality characteristics.
Since Yash's b'day fiasco when SP blasted Bua - I had predicted in my post that Prashant would be the new "villain" (Note: I have declared in earlier posts that no character in PV is outright evil or malicious - they are shades of grey). This prediction was before the spoilers stating that P would be reformed and before he made his entry!
So, like you - I have always kept my peace with fellow DCians while being unsure of how P's character would unfold. I personally believe that any human can change at any time if he sincerely strives - so there is still scope for P's character undergo reform. Or, he may have very well reformed in certain aspects of his personality that the CVs have as yet to unveil to us.
That said, my write-up merely portrays how his behavior appears to me! @Indu - his humane behavior of rescuing Aarti in Lalitpur, given his manipulative character trait (Manipulative or as @aimf labels it passive-aggressive which too, in my opinion fits his behavior) was also a clear example of how quick thinking and adept he is at using situations for his advantage because once Ansh informed him of Yash's absence (game of Hide-n-seek) on the hospital forms and to strangers (including Yash unknowingly) P declared that Aarti was his wife!!! This is not a sign that P loves Aarti or wants her back - because in a subsequent episode he declares to his parents about his need for Nida but rather his manipulative behavior trait coming to the forefront!
@Jyoti Just as obsessiveness is a character aberration/disturbance in Yash - so too, manipulation is a character disturbance in Prashant. Average individuals in interacting with him have to be on guard as he will always manipulate situations so that he comes ahead. P does not (or pays minimum heed) consider the impact of his decision and behavior on others. I suspect this is one of the causes of the rift between Shobha and him - because she always referred to him as being "swarthi".
@Indu you are right - weak, insecure and selfish personalities resort to manipulative behavior. So these are characteristics of P.
@aimf - Your label of passive-agressive fits Parshant to a 'T' because he aggressively pursues his goals eg Lalitpur, romantic date tips, and meeting Ansh at School but works at them surreptitiously or passively so that others have no clue about his real intentions! In this situation evenhis name is unknown to Yash and Ansh!
If I have missed out anybody - please forgive!
