MADHUBALA EK ISHQ EK JUNOON
10/29/12
The episode continued with Rishbala's war of wills over the saree issue with Madhu refusing to change unless cited a strong reason and RK refusing to let Madhu out of the room unless she changed her saree. The one good thing that emerged from this debate was that Madhu at least got to learn that RK had been a good boy and listened to her, by not touching alcohol ever since she'd emptied out all the bottles in the house-----(good going RK ! )I guess this piece of info , as well as RK's emotional blackmail (the choice of saree or family) and the thought of RK seriously contemplating tying her up (rofl worthy scenario---I must say), finally compelled Madhu to change and accompany RK downstairs to the pooja. Madhu's decision to swallow her zidd had the dual effect of affording her the pleasure of meeting her family as well as getting a compliment from RK----I'm guessing that RK chose the yellow saree for his BIWI (blush, blush). I was feeling quite bad for Sikky having to move from his place to make room for RK and Madhu ---- and was wondering if there could've been a way for both the brothers to sit side by side------ after all Sikky did take permission from Radhaji to sit there. Radhaji's preference for her own son RK was very plain for all and sundry to see ----- RK's antagonism and refusal to acknowledge the existence of his step dad was highlighted moreso by his mentioning of his mother's name as "Radha Mohan Kundra" , while his antics presenting the Aarti thali in front of the Bhatias was meant to deliberately insult ! I was a tad puzzled by Madhu's tears and her hesitation to sit beside RK , so much so that RK had to chide her to sit beside him, fuelling Mallik's inner flame of hatred for RK. I loved the satisfied look that Mallik shared with Madhu, upon hearing her mention his name as her father in the Pooja------it seemed as if his heart had swelled up with love and pride, and all his sacrifice was well worth it just to hear his name from Madhu's lips. Methinks that RK must've found Mallik's locket in his hospital room and may have started suspecting him, judging by the knowing looks he was giving Mallik. Mallik's ashirwaad to RK was diplomatic and restrained but to me it was meanacing nonetheless !
I was amused by the way Sikky was trying to slink behind his wife's back upon hearing the police mention that the attempts upon RK's life were carried out by an insider, and Kukuji's motioning him not to react was also guffawworthy-----I do love this dedicated duo's contribution towards lightening the episodes and our mood to boot. RK's words to the police "mein bheed mein bhi akela hoon" aptly conveyed the fact that he's a loner and takes his decisions unilaterally , with not a care for others' opinions . A well executed and riveting episode as usual ------it had the right balance of drama comedy and mystery to hold our attention, and which leaves me waiting impatiently for tonight's episode -----Ahaan !
