ITA: Fashion Ka Jalwa

A curtain raiser to the 12th ITA Awards 2012, scheduled for November 4, was presented by Anu and Shashi Ranjan's The Indian Television Academy (ITA) in association with Gitanjali Group. The event was 'Fashion Ka Jalwa' and several TV celebs walked the ramp for the curtain raiser. If newcomers like Krystal D'souza and Karan Tacker took the ramp with elan, actors like Smriti Irani and Rohit Roy also spread cheers at the gala event.

The event was high on glitz and glamour with television actors sashaying down the ramp in ethnic garb and splendid jewellery, which was an exclusive collection of the contemporary yet traditional jewellery designs from Gitanjali, named Parineeta -- inspired by the royal era. The collection included wedding jewellery in precious gemstones like rubies and emeralds in a combination with jadau and gold.

Among the stunners who dazzled on the ramp, we liked Sumona Chakravarti seen in a red sari, Disha Parmar of Pyaar Ka Dard Hai in a churidaar suit, and Krystal D'souza of Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai who wore a gorgeous lehenga choli. Among the hunks we spotted Gaurav Chopra, Nakuul Mehta of Pyaar Ka Dard Hai and also Angad Hasija from Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai. But the list doesn't end here -- Rohit Roy, Rajshree Thakur Vaidya, Sadia Siddiqui, Ravi Dubey, Muskaan Mehani and Vikrant Massey also strutted their stuff at the fashion show.

Overall, the event was as big as it gets with a host of TV celebs seen for the first time on the ramp.
