You can accept a person as they are. In Khushi's case, Arnav is very liberal about relationships until she comes along. She has accepted him because love overcomes all boundaries. But in daily life, it is not easy to live with. I am not making any judgements here about either one. The fact simply is...you get possessive about the person you love and their past will bother you if it pops up out of nowhere. Khushi may be great but take it from a girl who is like her, when it comes to Arnav, she can be no saint. She will be possessive and territorial, to the point of getting aggressive with Arnav and the rest of the world.
Arnav will not disappoint her of course as the child won't be his, but in real life, had something like that happened, even for a Khushi who accepted Arnav knowing he has had previous relationships - she would have a very hard time being in that marriage. Arnav here would not be guilty of anything, he was simply not aware of a child. He was also honest with Khushi, but the poor fellow would have the classic Catch-22. Khushi would not be able to live with another innocent child in the picture. Things are not really black and white, not even in love.
*** On second thoughts, I agree with Arisai. Aarav being Arnav's son makes for great drama. It really tests the strength of Khushi and Arnav's bond. They will separate and come back again and the woman will either die (of cancer, stereotypically) or leave like Kajol in Dil Kya Kare. Both typical. What will be atypical is Khushi's reaction to Aarav. She will not leave that dad and dislike the child like they showed in Mein Hoon Na. She will love Aarav and never take her anger out on him. She will have a great relationship with the kid throughout her fight and heartbreak over Arnav. Aarav already likes her. I am very conflicted, the ladies were right that it will kill some of Arnav's appeal. He might have been a player but being a dad is a huge, lifetime responsibility. It will kill Khushi's vision of Arnav being her ideal man. It will make him - HUMAN.
