Navaratri means nine divine nights.Navratri is a festival of Dance, Music, Colours, Holiness, Life and Religious UnityThe 9 nights festival of Navratri begins on the first day of Ashwina of the bright fortnight(16 October 2012).On 1st day is Ghatsthapana, 2nd day is Chandra Darshan, 3rd day is Sindoor Tritiya, 4th day is Varad Vinayak Chaturthi and Lalit Panchami, 5th day is Upang Lalita Vrat, 6th day is Saraswati Awahan, 7th day is Saraswati Pooja - Maha Lakshmi Pooja, 8th day isSaraswati Pooja ends ' Mahashtami - Annapurna Parikrama, 9th day isSaraswati Visarjan ' Maha Navami and On 10^th day of is called "Vijaya Dashami". It is also celebrated on large scale in many regions of India.
