Karan Tacker is enjoying the success of his show Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hain on Star Plus but this festive season he is looking forward to loads of masti in his show, in specials on the channels and also his celebrity appearances.
A festive season is a great bonus for celebrities. What are you doing this Navratri?
I am going to three pandals this Navratri in Surat, Mumbai and Guwahati. I was surprised+ to hear that in Guwahati garba and dandiya are celebrated with vigour. But I am looking forward to some cool fun. I will enjoy the beauty and get a break too. Of course, I have heard it isn't very safe there, so let's see.
How do you celebrate Navratri at home?
I am a Punjabi, so as a kid we celebrated Navratras. Feeding nine young girls among other celebrations, was a norm. Now, I hardly get time to do anything. Work takes up all my time.
Buzz is that you are quitting your show?
Yes I have heard that too. But it isn't true unless they want to replace me. I am happy with the show and the makers. These are just rumours, I am on the show as of now.
You shot for a Diwali special for the channel. Was it fun?
Yes, I enjoy these specials a lot. They give me a good break as we get to sing and dance and break the monotony of the usual shoot. I enjoy dressing up. And mostly I have so much fun that I don't feel like going back to the serial.
How do you look back on your career?
It has been a good run. I am enjoying and discovering myself. I am a natural actor and don't push myself to do anything I don't like. I take each scene as normally as I can and deliver as I don't like theatrics.
