Religion never tarnished them: Bollywood Khans and

With the most rumoured wedding of the year of the most celebrated Bollywood couple finally begin with a private Sangeet ceremony, an interesting angle pops out that is Bollywood Khans and their Hindu better halves always made excellent couples. Nawab of Pataudi Saif Ali Khan is to wed his lady love of five years Kareena Kapoor this October 17^th. The card has been printed and sent out, the wardrobes designed and the guests have started arriving from near and far. When we talk of Bollywood Khans marrying Hindu girls, the story that first comes to our mind is that of The Badshah of Bollywood and his real life fairytale.

The Aamir Khan-Kiran Rao story again kept the Khan and their Hindu wives trend intact. He is an iconic superstar and she is a debutant director. He is sweet and serious in his late 40s and she is little more than half his age. But hold on, when did we say love has set criteria? They met on the sets of Lagaan in which Rao was working as an assistant director. They married in 2005 and their son born in 2012 has been named Azad Rao Khan. When you enter their posh Pali Hill residence, all you would notice is art, sophistry and a harmonious essence of togetherness. Probably this is why true love is said to be beyond pen, paper and God. Aamir's nephew Imran too tied the knot with long time girlfriend Avantika Malik in a big fat wedding party last year. But soon after the wedding due to renovation in their original home, they stayed at a common accommodation for almost a year, even without a maid!

While the world still loses itself to taboos, superstitions and religion centric riots, our Bollywood Khans and their Hindu ladies have sketched love sagas that remain as stories to be told. From mehendi to nikah, everything was performed at all these marriages, but the best part is when asked, all the couples said, 'Marriage is all about deciding you're going to live with someone for the rest of your life, and the only ritual is constant faith."

No offence to anyone but none of the khans are religious. Actually no body is religious in the bollywood industry (be it hindus, muslims) I think the Bachchans are the closest to being "religious" . The whole kareena should convert or will she be converting debate was so ridiculous. Saif himself isn't religious, doesn't follow it then why would kareena? And I read in an interview a long time ago that she isn't even hindu. She said she doesnt believe in god...
