Geet was yawning big time.She was in dire need of a bed which would aid her to have a sound sleep after what seemed ages to her. She dropped by Dia's house who was all in smiles seeing her

"You know Geet!!!Maan & my engagement would be in this week itself!!!!!!!"

Geet let go of her sleep for some time to join in Dia's excitement, "Wow!!!!That's such a great news!!Congo to-be Mrs Khurana!"

Dia blushed hearing that ,"And he is taking me to dinner tonight!!!!I hope he proposes me with those three magical words!!"

Geet smiled in awe ,"Maan Sir & 'I love you' !!!You are kidding me Dia!" she gave a laugh ,"He is such a khadoos,always angry on some thing or the other!" Geet snorted.

"Don't say that!I really want him to propose to me!"

Geet sighed ,"My wishes are with you!!Besides,don't mind,I actually burst into laughter even imagining him to propose someone!"

"I am waiting for our wedding precisely,after that he will surely love me..."

Geet was surprised hearing that , "Why after wedding?He might even fall for you before that!!"

"It's difficult to happen but I hope so..."

Geet did not debate any further.She took leave from her landlady & went to her PG. She was so tired that sleep came to her as soon as she threw herself on the bed.It was only much later in the evening that her phone rang waking her up. Geet could hear Sasha's extremely joyful & vivid voice about how the clients loved the presentation.

"...And the best part was Maan Sir appreciating me!!!Kya batau yaar,it's been possible all because of you!!So to celebrate we are going for Disco tonight!!!!"

Geet was fully awake hearing the last word,"Disco???????????" she stressed the word as if it were some alien

"Yes Darling!Rahul is also joining us!I have kept a dress ready for you in my room!Wear that & get ready!!!"

Geet rang off.Geet went to Sasha's room to check out the dress.

"Ermm...don't you all think that this nightclub is too expensive for our pockets?" Geet voiced her doubt in front of all but she got a we-don't-care reply in return.

"Chill yaar Geet,we are anyways getting our salary this week!" said Pinky.

Geet looked around her with pensive eyes as it gave her a taste of Delhi's nightlife.All the people were heavily immersed in dance & drinks. The girls were dressed in skimpy outfits which included her as well!.Geet couldn't yet make out what exactly made her wear a short dress which revealed more than she wanted to show. Perhaps it was her curiousity which led her to try a western outfit & see how she looked in them. She looked at Sasha & Pinky who were dancing & enjoying together, being loyal to their common crush--their Boss MSK. Geet noticed a hand being stretched out to her & it was none other than Rahul. She readily accepted to dance with him.They both grooved until Rahul's eyes fell on a sexy girl & he left Geet to flirt with that girl.Geet laughed out loud seeing Rahul tailing the girl!

Geet was left shocked when she saw Sasha, Pinky & Rahul order drinks.

"Don't tell me you all are gonna make yourselves sloshed up!"

"It fun Geet!You should try too!" said Sasha as she forwarded a glass of vodka to her. But Geet instantly declined.

"No thanks! Atleast one of us has to be in sense to drag you three home!" she gave a laugh.The three carried on with their drinks.

"Forget 5 star!!!!!!!This is a 7 star restaurant & we are here just because of you three drunken souls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Geet cast her disgusted eyes on them like an angry-old-aunt.

"Geet actually we--" Rahul tried to say in a shaky voice.

"The curds in front of you are for 3000 each!!!!So expensive!!!Who the heck told you all to drink so much!!!I don't have a super woman strength to drag you three to your homes!!!Finish this curd so that atleast you get some of your senses back!!& mind it, the 9000 is a loan on you three!!!!" said Geet curtly.

"D-Don't worry Geet, your husband will be very very rich..."said Sasha.

Geet cast her rueful eyes which silenced all three of them. Rahul decided to try his luck.He held Geet's hands,took a deep breath & said

"I I I love you G-Geet...I love you!!"

"When did you start loving me?Before ditching me for that sexy girl or after??" she snapped. Geet smirked seeing him uneasy at her remark.Then her voice resumed stolidity.

"Finish the curd ASAP!!!" Geet stormed outside leaving them to quietly obey her.

Co-incidently it was the same restaurant where Maan along with Dia had dined. Geet ,being pissed off with her friends was busy blabbering that she bumped in someone at the exit. She was left wide-eyed on discovering who the person was!

"M-Maan S-Sir aap???!"

Maan was equally startled to see her there & that too wearing a skimpy outfit. He took an instant dislike to that, though he didn't know why it should bother him as such. But she just can't wear such dresses, that's that!! Geet grew a bit conscious seeing him staring at her.

"Tum yahan itni raat ko kya kar rahi ho & aur woh bhi--"

He stalled thinking that it might not be right to say anything regarding her dress.

Geet recollected that Dia had told her about dinner date.

"You had come here for dinner with your girlfriend right??How was it?" she was unsure about why she was asking that ,"Did you propose her? She seemed really excited aur who bhi kyu na, after all you two will be engaged this week!!Mein toh kehti hoon aapko na Dia propose kar hi dena chahiye aur pata hai--"

"Chup!!Bilkul chup!!" he clutched her wrist & pulled her towards him, "Kab se boli hi jaa rahi ho!!!" Geet's breaths took a break & yet again she felt her heart crowded with beats. His closeness really does affect'& that too in a very strong way'

"You did not answer my question what are you doing here???"

Geet resolved that she wouldn't let her strange feelings over-power her yet again..

"Mein yaha kya kar rahi hoon?? It's all because of you!!! Who told you to give loads of appraisals to Sasha & Rahul??Pata hai we all went to disco "to celebrate" & see there" she pointed out to the three people gulping the curd, "a troop of drunkards!!!"

The presence of Rahul with Geet itched Maan. But he ignored it!

"So even you are drunk??"

"Excuse me???" she snapped, "I am sober!!!If you want you can check my breaths!!!"

Was there any need to specify the last sentence??, she reflected. She looked away & began to distance herself from him. Really!His proximity affects her big time!

"Wait!"

She looked at him.Now what was he going to ask?

"Did you come to KM in the morning?"

Geet stared at him blankly not knowing what to say. She did go to the Mansion but all of a sudden why she left from there, she couldn't yet reason out. All she knew was that her heartbeats had risen abnormally ( she just can't say him that!) then as it was rising now as he stared at her waiting for an answer. Geet began to step backward stealing glances from him.There was a slope right behind her & she was going to fall but Maan caught her again pulling her closer, her hands went around his neck as he held her firmly by her waist'

"Answer me!!!"

He wanted to clarify.After all, he had heard her anklets & he can never be wrong in that fact!.

Geet saw urgency reflecting in his eyes. Her heartbeats were rising in leaps & she was assured that he could feel that. "Why is he asking me this?, she thought. "Infact his query should have been ' Why did you not come to the Mansion' instead he is asking whether I had come or not jaise ki'jaise ki yeh jaante hai ki mein waha pe thi' par kaise I am sure he didn't see me'"

"Woh I'A-Actually I--"

"Don't stammer!!"

"I hadn't come'" she lied. He was not satisfied & she could sense that.He held her more firmly.

"Jhoot bol rahi ho tum!"

"Yeh kya ho raha hai'can we call this a professional relationship between a boss & his employee?I think not.."

Geet was perplexed.

"Aapko jo samajna hai, aap samjhiye. I hadn't come!!"

He still stared at her. She refused to budge.He released her.She left from there to joing Sasha & others..

Dia was seated besides Maan. He was just about to start the car when he saw Rahul & Geet exit from the restaurant. He cringed.

"Why am I even bothered about them?"

He couldn't understand. He drove away the car instead'

It's been ages since I have updated this😆. Pls do let me noe abt you views. My exams r over. Thak God!!!!😆 I will be able to giv regular updates nw😳
