Rajeev Khandelwal is quite upset with the recent reports of his "adoption" doing the rounds. "I am sponsoring five-year-old Suhasini from Muskan. I cannot adopt a child even though I would love to. It is common knowledge that a single man cannot adopt a child. And, I am not even married," he says.

According to the actor who plays Captain Rajveer in 'Left Right Left' (SAB), he decided to sponsor the child two years ago when he saw her. "The amount of money which you have to pay on a yearly basis is not much. I can afford it and I would love to see a bright future for Suhasini," he adds. Rajeev further elaborates, "It's the least you can do for underprivileged children."

In spite of his busy schedule, Rajeev manages to visit Suhasini once in five months. "But I do remember her birthday and send her gifts and toys on every festival," he smiles.
