California vs. New York

Some people like New York cos of the cosmopolitan lifestyle and some people like California because of the beautiful climate and tourist attractions.

I like California, not only cos its my birth place, but because it's a beautiful place with nice ppl and places.

new york! well i haven't been to any of them, but i'd like to go new york! 😉

I love Calfornia for its beauty. I've been to NY and its a concrete jungle !

I like California. I was crazy about NY until I went there for vacation 🤢 . I was surprised to see the filth and extreme poverty. I didn't know poverty in America until I visited NY. The only nice parts about NY were Manhattan and Liberty. I was amazed to see how people lived in compacted places- small kitchens, living rooms,bedroom, small backyards.. Long Island which is supposed to be posh area in NY, was not even close to rich areas in California. I attended wedding in Long Island and there was nothing special about that place. It's like houses we have in any average upper middle class neighbourhood.
I was sad to see Indian community in NY. Campare to California, they are not very educated. I am not talking about recent immigrants, but people who have been living there forever, or atleast for one or two generations. Indian kids look excatly like black kids. They walk and talk like them. Hair dos are like them as well. Many of them change their names to Shantee' or Kelia. It's funny. My cousin told me that in her high school in NY, Indians kids are ashamed to be known as INdians. THey tell everyone that they are half black.
It's amusing to see how people in NY swear that they live in the best place in the whole world. They like the fact that everything is so closed together. My cousin friend made a comment about California ," you guys just live in a made up world, we are living in real world."

I don't like NY...it's too crowded for person like me. California is too big. Depends what part you are talking about..however, daily comuting to get to work is really long there. So I don't think there should be only two options. Weather is not important if you don't like other things around. Like abhijit said....other 48 states are not to be underestimated.

I have not been to california, but I have been to NYC. NYC has garbage waste all over the city and it smells like anything. There are also very rude people.

i've only been 2 NYC and i gotta say..it's just WOW! I totally loved it..not sure about anyone else..but it was like the first place i ever went to when i was just like 1 month old..and i went there atleast 5-6 times after that..'cos my maasi is there..its totally cool..😛
not sure about cali..but heard loads about it..from the one and only great misspriyaaa 😆 ot sounds cool too..i'd like to visit there one day too 😊

Ny is rude and hostile, ur wrong go to another city besides NYC in NY and u will c the posh side of NY state. yea itz in NYC ppl being rude, well u be nice they be nice bak, i've lived in NYC alll my lie ontop of that i've lived in brooklyn 4 10 years of my life. So living in one of the unreputated boroghs, no one has ever been rude to me on the streets. itz dependz on u i u give em an attitude in first sight or not. NY isn'y abt being posh, so what i ppl live in small houses and all, that means they ahve finacial problems. and Long Island, is suppose to be posh but up to an extent, ppl here dont really care about hoses they care more about apatments, if u notice aparments are more posh than houses, though houses are pretty also, and NYC is a crwded place they dont have enough space or huge posh im a richy rich house , u noe why those indians living here are less educaed itz b/c they have only been here 4 5-8 yrs, well they have kids and a life, so they dont really have enough time or so called "education" and ppl that r desi's are educate i they have been living there for more than 10 yrs. i like the comment made " you guys just live in a made up world, we are living in real world." itz true every word said in it is true. NYC has garbage and waste ALL ova tha city, well i think u have been to another NYC, b/c i you go out in regular areas they are neat and if u go to a bad reputate area then yea it is smelly and some garbage on the roads.
