Hey dear, I beg to differ you.We watch this particular show because it portrays aspects of Shiva. But with Shiva his consort Shakti is also equally important.Earlier they showed Shakti's incarnation Sati in human light and we liked that though many people raised many questions. Then they depicted Parvati with human feelings and we also agreed this as she was not completely capable to hold the power of Adi-Parashakti.But after her severe penance and rebirth and completetion of Tantra Vidya she becomes Adi Parashakti herself. But still the makers show her in poor light and presents her as a human being who only thinks about her husband and children. But we all know that she is mother of this universe.Every living beings are her children and she takes care of them as it is a natural instinct of her, not for this is her duty towards this universe. But here each and everytime Mahadev keeps aware her about her duty and responsibility and gives lectures about the Jagat Kalyan. This is completely unacceptable.

TM , I think you went bit too harsh. The members here , the die hard DKDMians are here since day one & have loved DKDM making it a big success. And who says one should keep appreciating something even if it doesn't deserve ? 😳
Why are we expected to like such a poor execution of maa adi shakti? 😡
Why are we expected to watch a self-centered Adi Shakti?😡
Why are we given monotonous stuff to watch? 😡

By reviling the show we are definitely NOT reviling our mythology. Spectators do have a right on This much of liberation & freedom of speech .

Har Har Mahadev,

I have read your responses and I respect you all that you are senior forum members. Like I mentioned before, I do not participate in forums - but I made an exception due to the negative that is being spread about this program. I encourage you all to view it with sharda.

However, you all again failed to see what I was really referring to. Actually, if you read the title of the episode, it is "Devon Ke Dev-MAHADEV"; hence the show is mostly about Mahadev, and not Adi Shakti.

Nowhere in the episodes has it being shown to degrade Parvati Mataji or her Avatars. She has been well portrayed in the Mahadev episodes. On these episodes, we are seeing the softer side of Parvati-ji rather then Adi Shakti. This program is not about Parvati Mata. If you recall in one of the episodes, Shivaji was explaining to Parvatiji that they are ONE, and we should not differentiate Shiva from Parvati, as Shiv is Parvati and vice-versa.

By the way, I do tend to view this as a "spiritual" program and not anything less. Any program that depicts our God/Goddess, or even uses our Lord's names, does become a means of spiritually for me. Just hearing the Lord's name is satisfying and pleasant.

I suggest that instead of still complaining, why you all do not request the producers that they make a serial based on Maa Parvati and her avatars. Alternatively, since you all are well versed on the mythological, maybe you all can produce such a show and see how the viewers will react. Therefore, please do think well of the program providers, writers, creative team etc. They are doing it as they have an goal to meet and that is to provide as much as possible in the 15-20 minutes of the daily episodes.

Again, I emphasize to please stop being so negative and instead be very glad to watch such programs in the television. If you view it with positiveness and pure mind, you will enjoy the program more and more- just like I do! It will become "Amrit" for you all too.

Jai Ho!

As your name suggests, you are certainly for peace. I really thank you for condescending to write in this forum and educate us on the niceties of this serial.

Oh thanks for the clarification. I was under the impression that this was a fictional serial - b'cos I could not find anything co relating with the Puranas.

But since you have clarified that this indeed is a spiritual (or, mythological) show - could you please explain what is the basis for some of the characterizations portrayed in the show?

That's where all our problems lie- I agree with you.

In my (highly prejudiced) mind, I always had an impression that Kartikeya was very charming, highly well versed, in fact, an embodiment of Knowledge itself.

Now, I learn, - thanks to the makers of this serial - how arrogant and rude Skanda was to his parents.

This does pain me- but as you have rightly suggested- I should watch it with "pure mind" then maybe I will also start enjoying the rude and arrogant Skanda which they are portraying.

Folks,

4peace is right. If we want to enjoy the show, let's forget that these stories were ever based on any Puranas. This show is purely based on the Cvs imagination and if they choose to murder, distort any character -except Shiva (since as 4peace has rightly pointed out- it's Devon ke dev Mahadev) we should not complain.

Thnaks 4peace.

u also agree with the fact that shivji and parvati are one then both should be given equal importance ...mata.parvati is not only the wife of shivji and mother of kartikeya ...she is jagat mata and her first priority should be the welfare of the common people and she has to be very strong mentally but cvs are potraying parvati as a daily soaps bahu who is always crying and cooking food for his husband and son...

4Peace,we very well know the show's name and it's content. There's no need to remind us.
We are criticising the show not because we hate it.We are criticising so that the cvs can improve and correct their mistakes.
What you are calling is not the softer but the weaker side of parvati. And Parvati is definitely not like this. She is a Goddess and not a human being like us so she can never be emotional and self centered like how they are showing parvati in this serial.Probably you enjoy seeing a crying and self centered parvati but we don't and we have full right to criticise the makers for this.
Nobody here bashed or blamed Mahadev for Parvati's character assassination. Why are you feeling bad then?Did anybody say anything against Mahadev?
All are blaming the cvs and they have full right to do so.Probably you don't know, constructive criticism is allowed on I-F and that's what everyone is doing.Nobody is saying any bad words to cvs.I have heard some cvs do come to this forum. We are writing our complaints for the benefit of the show so that they can improve it and stop showing parvati as a cry baby.
If you don't like us criticising the makers then you better ignore such posts. There are many posts which are made to praise the show. It's not that we have only criticised the makers. We have praised them too for various reasons. Why don't you go through those posts?
Just remember one thing. We have a right to criticise something constructively which we don't like. You can't tell us to stop doing that.If you don't like it then ignore it.
