Ankita Lokhande aka Archana of Pavtira Rishta (Zee TV) is in a fix. Why you may ask?

Well, this talented Maharashtrian actress is not happy playing mother to girls of her age, post the leap which happened a while ago in this Balaji show.

"It just does not look convincing enough on screen," she quips. So what can you do? "Nothing, as we can't reverse age on screen." However, she is not considering moving out of the project as well. "I am very loyal to Pavitra Ristha that has made me what I am today," she observes.

But she does leave a certain window open for the later action when asked would you not want to move on after playing the same character for three and a half years, she answers, "I don't know."

As of now, though she seems content playing Archana, she further shares, "I am also looking at Marathi films. These days the films in my mother tongue have been very interesting and have a lot of scope for actors to emote."

She however adds that she has no yet signed the dotted line on anything but might do so soon. Here, Ankita seems to be quite lucky that Balaji Telefilms has not put paid to her wishes to do films. "They are quite okay with my desire to dabble in films as well and would accommodate my dates accordingly," she maintains.

She however makes it clear that she does not want to do Hindi films. "I am quite happy with TV and regional films." We wonder what is the real reason behind it, is her boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput not comfortable with the kind of exposure (as in skin show) that is required in Hindi films? "Why should he have any problem… for he himself is doing a Hindi film (Kai Po Che)," she ends.
