Asr kept quiet right after the kidnapping when that evil Shyam repeatedly maligned Khushi's character...he stood there like a man with no emotions whatsoever...I still gave him the benefit of the doubt because maybe he was in shock...

But what was his reason today? Maybe he wanted Anjali to take the decision to throw Shyam out all by herself...but was it still necessary to just stand there expressionless without uttering a single word of disgust towards Shyam for maligning Khushi...

Yes he loves and respects his sister Anjali immensely and unfortunately for Khushi IMO cannot ever take that place...but just for being her husband and supposedly loving her as much as he says he does...he should have showed some kind of emotion.

But saying that...I am extremely happy to see Khushi protected her honor herself when she went upstairs and defiantly defended herself. I absolutely believe that a woman doesn't need a man to defend or look after herself. We are very capable of doing it and I am glad that they are promoting the fact. In a marriage the respective spouses should defend each others honor. It goes with both woman and man.

My only problem today was he stood there without any emotions as if she was just a another woman. Couldn't digest that part.

Disclaimer: guys, this is not an Asr bashing post. This is something that I felt strongly about and I wanted to share.

I agree! Mujhe to dar hai ki kahi ASR sirf Anjali ka bhai hi ban kar na reh jaye. Nothing wrong with that, mind you, but he needs to realize that he's not just a brother, he's also a husband. We all have seen Anjali's brother, but we want to see Khushi's husband for once.

its always been Anjali's brother...his priority is never Khushi. I hardly have any respect for such men. Why did he even marry Khushi ? He could have just stayed available for Anjali's services.

absolutely, wonder if that will ever happen in IPKKNDland, Khushi has been the punching bag from day one, wonder if she will ever get justice and the right place she deserves in Arnav's life?

here is a perfect response from a forum memebr for that

bidz in her reply to a similar post said

Tia has raised the same issue in the DC thread. Here's my response to you as well as her.

I was actually mad at Arnav after the kidnapping track when he refused to open his mouth when Shyam went on and on about Khushi's character. I know he avenged with a slap, but I thought that came too late. I felt that at that time he was most concerned about his di's devastation, and hence neglected to focus on Khushi.

However, today, I think things are different. It is clear that the entire family did believe Khushi then. She has got the love of the entire family. They participated wholeheartedly in their wedding ceremony, etc. Today, the focus was on Anjali. It was crucial for Arnav that Anjali herself throw Shyam out of their lives. When Shyam again maligned Khushi's character, it was not clear to Arnav whether Anjali would again fall for Shyam's sweet words. The slap from Anjali had not come till then, and she had just shrugged Arnav and Khushi, and walked away. He didn't need to defend Khushi today, because Khushi already had the support of the entire family. They already knew that Shyam is the culprit. They have already accepted Khushi for the gem she is. Had he defended Khushi today before Anjali took action, he would have again been responsible for taking matters in his own hands, instead of Anjali. It was crucial today that Arnav remain silent, coz, today Anjali and only Anjali should have been responsible for kicking Shyam out and that's what she did.

As for Arnav defending Khushi, he did support her when dadi tried to speak against her before she dropped the bombshell. He honored and respected her when he came late for their wedding. He proclaimed in front of everyone how much he loves her. He married her following all rasams that he didn't believe in (but Khushi did) "after" Shyam hurled his accusations. Isn't that the best way to show his respect for her?Today, when Shyam again maligned Khushi, it was a last ditch effort by him to stay back in Shantivan. No one was really focusing on him. People were focusing on Anjali's response. I think people know Khushi's place in his life. I don't think he needed to say anything today.

can u now understand

Yaar sometimes knowing it for a fact that they're with you is not enough. Sometimes a physical support is needed, even though you know from bottom of your heart that morral support is there. I'm going to tell you my personal experience. A long time ago, I was accused of doing something that I never did. My parents and my sibilings knew that I would never do something like that and I knew that morally they support me, that they believe me, but when fingers were being pointed at me, no-one held my hand. This was long time ago, but even now if the incident comes up casully in conversations, the hurt is still there. So, sometimes a physical support is needed. We all know that ASR loves Khushi and I'm not saying that he needed to slap Shyam or anything, he didn't even had to say anything - if he had just come up behind Khushi and held her hand or put his hand on her shoulder when Shayam was accusing her, it would've been enough support. Just to show Shyam that, "you know what? Just becuse I love my sister dearly and just because I'm not saying anything, it doesn't mean that I'm going to let you point your fingers at my wife because I'm here to protect my wife along with protecting my sister." A small gesture goes a long way.
