Dear ivre,
Well, well, well, I see that you are heading for a full scale murder mystery, without any of the almost exclusive preoccupation with the Arjun-Riya relationship that is the leit motif of the very large number of FFs in this forum. Since Sookie is the motivating factor behind this story, and she is, as I know from personal experience (her comments on my analysis of the Death of a Stockbroker episode last week were superb), a very competent analyst of facts, motives and characters, I can safely look forward to something that will give Agatha Christie a run for her money.
So, please accept my congratulations, both on your decision to strike out on a new track that is really the closest so far to the spirit of the TV series, and also for the slow, tantalizing buildup your story is being given. It is one of the hallmarks of a proficient writer that he /she can hold audience interest even when not showing more than a fraction of the cards he/she holds. You seem to have this quality, for till now the tale is awash with questions but there are as yet very few answers.
That is as it should be. I am not by nature impatient, and I respect the fact that the creative impulse is not like fast food and cannot be made to order, and I am prepared to wait for Chapter 6 without fretting.
Lastly, the most mystifying, and in a way the most scary of all are the prefaces to Chapters 1 and 5. Especially the latter. I have no idea who is speaking and of whom, but there is a great air of disquiet, and even of menace, overhanging these prefaces which are, unless I am mistaken, almost unique. The only other example of this sort of thing that I can call to mind was in Christie's terrifying Towards Zero. Do take a look at it, if you have not read it already.
Once again, all the best for the rest of this who-how-why-dunit.

Chapter 5
Tired feet dipped in a tub of hot water, which relaxed them instantly. Enjoying the soothing sensation, the feet moved in a circular motion slowly, stirring the water in the tub. The hands caressed the shoulders to get rid of any leftover tension. The eyes found the bottle placed on the bedside table- the ultimate act of restoring balance and tranquility to life. The liquid in it would be preserved forever as the trophy of victory in the final war.
ALGORITHM OF DEATH Cold wind. Broken glass crunching. A very faint mechanical hum in the background. SFX: “TAP… TAP… TAP…” (dripping water) SFX:...
