First and foremost, I am planning to give a speech praising Sandhyaji at the Samman Samaroh for her courage in diffusing the bomb and saving everybody's life. This certainly exhibits her presence of mind and I am extremely proud of her.

Now, the bad news. Every society has a set of rituals that need to be followed. I wouldn't want to say anything unpleasant about these rituals as it would be wrong on my part to do so. But I really feel the need to voice out my opinion.Sandhyaji and I had been to the temple yesterday. After we were done with the puja, the panditji at the temple told Sandhyaji to touch my feet as an indication of respect. She did so obediently.

To be honest, I did not like this one bit. I love her deeply and consider her as my equal. Just because I am her husband, does not mean that Sandhyaji should touch my feet. I know she respects me a lot. I can feel her love and respect for me through her actions. Sandhyji is an intelligent and a strong-willed woman. She can achieve the impossible if she sets her heart to it.

Whatever happened at the temple was not right. I felt bad for Sandhyaji. Let's see if I can do anything about this. That's all for now. I'll see all of you soon. Namaste!
