I've been watching these 2 brothers for the past couple of episodes. I don't know I guess considering their pasts...I was a bit vary of them...not sure whether to give them the benefit of the doubt...but today...I finally had a change of heart.
Who am I speaking about? Ankur and Vikram. Two brothers from 2 different families, sharing one commom nature...putting oneself before others...until now that is.
Ankur sold his sister out...married her off to the quickest bidder so to speak. Didn't think twice about it, because his dreams were more important. She was after all a girl, he had reasoned. And no matter how much she studied...she'd eventually have to take care of a house and kids...so why not now?
Halaat insaan ko badal dete hai. Things in America apparently didn't go as he planned. He hasn't said anything to anyone, but he's out of work, and financially strained. On top of that he has become a father...that too to a daughter.
Then we have Vikram. He actually changed the day he found out Meena was responsible for the FIR that put Bhabo in jail...but I had my suspicions. With Meena constantly putting thoughts in his mind you never know if the change would be permanent or not. But today...this brother too won me over when he gave Suraj a beautiful sari, and didn't even blink. Rather, when Suraj offered to pay him, he humbly replied...Sharminda mat karo bhaiya...bhai hoon...padosi nahi. Well done Vikram...👍🏼...you are finally growing up.
Of course Vikram's shadow Meena found it a bit hard to swallow that her husband would just hand over a sari worth 3000 rupees to her brother. Uff! This girl will never learn will she? 🤢
Thankfully we have a totally different person in Sandhya...a wonderful fusion of honesty, sweetness, mischief, strength, and bringer of what her family sees as new, confusing and innovative ideas...that may not always be welcome...but prove to be right in the end...😆
And while I loved Sandhya's little game of "let's play tag around the bed we don't put to good use"...🤔...it was her innocent and excited chatter about her accomplishing a feat, as simple as lighting the little coal stove, that really stole my heart.....and I think Suraj's too.
Choti choti khusiyaan...make life all the more worth living...was the lesson of the day. Suraj and Sandhya may you continue to fill each other's lives with these khushiyan...and in the process...bring big big heart warming smiles to our faces. 😃
