We all want BS to stay, there's no two ways about that. But if he wants to move on, I'd be happy to watch the continuation of the Arnav Khushi story ... I think they have lots to show ... IF they put their minds and hearts back in the show. These days, they are NOT ... it's not just the off screen drama, the screenplay and writing is getting shoddy too.

You made me break my silence and post on IF!

I am glad to see a TRP of 3 for IPK for last week. The actors deserve it and the show was indeed gripping that week.

But I would not be surprised to see a drop next week or maybe the week after if the current trend continues.

I was wondering why something seemed amiss and all I could think of was nuanced and well detailed scenes, smooth story transition, an involvement of all the characters in a meaningful manner with a nayi soch that IPK benchmarked in the past.

To an enthusiast like me, the poor execution and missing nuances are glaring when I see the recent epis and compare them with the ones from this time last year.

All the brouhaha - well reality and facts of life like you said. Day to day happenings in the real world.

But to me neglecting the storytelling and quality of execution, prop continuity and just depending on the screen blazing leads speaks of a disinterest in the show from the makers. The team is doing its job but as long as there is no fear of knuckles being rapped for shoddy work, output quality suffers. The show perhaps goes on because it drives itself and maybe because the makers are not being allowed to pull the plug.

Whatever the reasons, I wish the makers had the guts to do the right thing by either continuing to ensure the magic or by ending it well.

At least the online fans would have fond memories and hopes of a 2nd season instead of the stink of closed door politics.

You're very right ...as usual 😛 ... more important is the slipping standards in IPK, as I said to Sari ... the screenplay, the dialogues, the attention to detail, the execution ... everything is shoddy and lazy, there are glaring lacunae in everything these days. A show is team work ... after the marriage, maybe due to all the hoopla, the back end is slipping big time ... and these days, it is ONLY the actors, mainly Sanaya and Barun, who are holding it together. And I put Sanaya first, because even Barun has been slipping lately ... maybe all the badmouthing and name calling is getting to him as well.

I'm selfish, I don't want the show to end ... I think there's still a lot of potential in the story and lots of loose ends still remain, they can carry it forward if they put their minds and hearts back in the show. If not, then I agree ... end it well, we already got a happy ending, so it won't be too difficult.

To all who posted here ... thanks so much ... especially for not turning this into a battleground! I can't reply individually due to lack of time, but I have read all your replies, each and every one.

It was so good to read everyone's thoughts, and to see that there are lots of sane viewers still left on the forum who love the show and the Arshi story first and foremost ... it's a real pity that the voice of reason is drowned by all the bashing posts.

Diya...I am a newbie but have always loved yours and sari's posts. They are so refreshing. Whatever you have said is so true. It is fact of life.
