"Staunch Muslims have opposed my decision," he said. "They did not realise we were never converted to Islam. I would like to make it clear that the only religion our family believes in is music," said the 60-something Aasish.

That says it all.

relegion and faith are something very personal. To each their own....let it remain in the family.....we need not even discuss it.

plz dont spoil ur time in finding raceism ..cast religion... its better to think only on classical music because that is the base of all good music ..

Well said...it struck the media attention b/c it is unusual for a Muslim to convert to any other religion. Religion is a personal matter, so the media should not make a big public deal out of this. Ali Akbar's opinion should not be given much credence.
