Just a late night writing project, this is just the prologue below...

I will continue to write more if a good response is received and if everyone would like to read more.

A CHANCE TO LOVE

It was late, the stars glittered in the dark blue sky, as Maanvi stared up and counted "one, two, three...that one, no...this one. It has to be that very bright sparkling one!" She whispered to herself, slightly teary eyed, recalling the memories from 21 years ago, when her nearly happy family tore apart, now it seemed like all she had were these stars, they showed her the way, her paths, her rights, her wrongs. She picked up her jacket, and walked back into the room, gentle drops of tears trickled down her nearly flushed cheeks, as she lay on the bed she heard voices from outside the door, friendly voices. The voices of her older sister Jeevika and her grandmother.

KNOCK KNOCK! "Maanvi, its dinner time, please come out now." Jeevika said through the door, hoping her younger sister had heard her and would listen. Maanvi immediately rushed to the restroom keen on washing her face before her sister could see the running tears. The last two days had been a rollercoaster in the life of Maanvi, the news of a proposal for Jeevika had shook her down to her last nerve, she couldn't possibly think of her sister leaving her, 21 years ago she lost her parents and now she wasn't ready to lose her sister.

Jeevika had slight suspicions, she had been observing that Maanvi was not well, her behaviour had changed, her interaction with the family had lessened.

Maanvi washed her face, added two drops of Natural Tears into her eyes to flush the redness and went outside. "Yes Ji?" Maanvi replied, with a stiff smile on her face.

Jeevika gave Maanvi a hug, held onto her hand and the sisters resorted themselves to the dinner table where everyone else waited for them. Maanvi smiled towards everyone and took her seat, the plates were ready, the food was served.

Maanvi looked around, everyone was eating but Maanvi's appetite was gone, she couldn't stop staring at the food, her tears started forming and hung low on the rim of her eyes, she tried to hide it until her Aunt said from across the table, "Maanvi, my dear, your not eating anything?" Maanvi looked up and gently nodded a 'I am eating' look...
