No Ramana remake for SRK, says Ghajini director
If everything goes well, Ghajini director AR Murugadoss will soon sign Shah Rukh Khan for his next after wrapping up with Akshay Kumar starrer Tamil remake Thuppaki. This time around however, the filmmaker will work on an original Hindi script.
It may be noted here, that Sanjay Leela Bhansali was to acquire the rights of Tamil film Ramana which had Vijayakanth, Simran, Ashima Bhalla in the lead roles.
Our well-placed sources however reveal a different story, "Murugadoss has been in talks with Shah Rukh since a long while now for a film. The director was interested in yet another remake with SRK but the superstar refused and insisted on an original story."
Murugadoss has left an indelible mark on the minds of one and all with his debut venture Ghajini starring Aamir Khan, which was a remake of his own Tamil film titled Ghajini. He is nowadays gearing up for Akshay Kumar film which as mentioned above is a remake of Tamil film Thuppaki.
The yet to be titled film will go on the floors by the end of this year once the female lead is finalized. As far as SRK film is concerned, Murugadoss will start working on the script as soon as he finishes Akshay's flick.
