i think punjabi speakers can hear it as jhalla because the singer himself is a punjabi speaker so you need to have that accent to hear it. since srk and yashji are not fluent punjabi speakers like raabi they don't hear the difference.

On topic.. IMO it should be "Jhalla". Here is an excerpt of the song Yaariyan --

"Yaari de bus jo peh jaave

Woh pagla woh jhalla ve"

Every lyrics site has written the word as 'jhalla'; not 'chhalla' 🤔
