The revelation of Sandhya's IPS dream is getting closer and closer, and I'm really curious to see how it actually happens.
However it comes about, I hope that we will get to see Sandhya actually tell Sooraj about it herself, or that we see Sooraj realise what her dream is by himself, by piecing memories/clues together. I don't mind if some one or something else reminds Sooraj that Sandhya had a dream that she once wanted to tell him about but never did, but I really don't want someone else to tell him, and I would prefer it if he alone is the first person to find out (not the whole family yet).
DABH is really good at using flashback sequences effectively (I think this aspect has been particularly good in the last month or so), so I was thinking about the things that Sooraj might remember and use to figure out what her dream is, or that he could remember when she finally tells him her dream herself, and I came up with this list (they are not necessarily in chronological order - this is just the order that I remembered them in).
Arti's list of moments that Sooraj might remember that relate to Sandhya's IPS dream:
1) Just after they got married, Sandhya actually did tell Sooraj repeatedly that her parents had a dream for her (although he never found out what it was, after she realised that both she and the Rathi's had been lied to in order for her and Sooraj to get married, and neither of them ever said anything about it again).
2) In the early days, they were out on a delivery on Sooraj's scooter and a police officer came and demanded a bribe if they wanted to avoid being fined for something. Sandhya told him they would pay the full fine and wanted a receipt for it as proof, but would not support bribery.
3) The time when she figured out that Meena had emptied out the sari store-room in their house and had burned the room down herself, so that she and Vikram could pretend that they needed all their money for their shop and wouldn't have to give Bhabo money for household expenses. (Thanks to Ayeshi_101 for reminding me of this one. 👍🏼 This one is the first time the whole family got to see thanedarni Sandhya in action!)
4) During the SV2 days, the time when she refused to bribe the food safety officer and instead made sure to do everything properly (filling out the forms, providing samples of the sweets etc etc).
5) When Bhabo was arrested because of Meena and Sudha's fake police report, Sandhya knew that it was against the law/rules for a male police officer to arrest a female and that they needed to wait for a female officer. (BTW, is that really true?)
6) Nothing to do with the law/police, but he might remember when she ran out to save Bhabo and Daisa from a rampaging bull in the market - as a sign of her attitude towards protecting others.
7) The day after Sinjhara night (during SV2 times, again), when she effectively caught him as being the person who had lit the mosquito coil.
8) Leading on from number 7, he might remember the time when they were on friendly terms again (just before the truth of Meena and Sudha's false police report came out) when she had injured her hand and so he was feeing her and they had spoken about the Sinjhara night incident, and Sooraj himself called Sandhya an "asli thanedarni".
9) Even though he was in Mt Abu rescuing Vikram and Meena from jail at the time and so didn't actually see how this happened himself, Sooraj might remember back to the fact that it was actually Sandhya who discovered and revealed the truth of Meena and Sudha's fake police report (Sandhya did apologise to him for not being able to tell him about it before everyone else found out, so she may have told him details herself).
10) The time when they were asleep and Sandhya was having her dream in which she was a police officer and was beating up a criminal, and she was punching in her sleep and Sooraj got worried and woke her up to check if she was ok and asked if she had had a nightmare. Even though he doesn't know what she was actually dreaming about, he might remember that she had told him that she had actually had a very nice dream and maybe might put two and two together (about beating up bad guys), or might ask her about the dream.
11) When they were in Delhi for the Indian leg of the WTC competition and Sandhya realised that the "police officer" who was trying to fine them for taking photos was an imposter and not a real officer, because she knew/recognised the police uniform so well and could tell that his wasn't a real/proper one. At the time, Sooraj had assumed that someone in Sandhya's family must have been a police officer and that was how she knew what the uniform was really supposed to look like.
12) Related to number 11, Sandhya had told Sooraj about how her father had taken her to Delhi when she was little to see the police parade, and how excited she had been about it, and her patriotism and how she saluted the flag.
13) Related to 11 and 12, while they were sightseeing in Delhi, Sandhya actually managed to say "IPS" in front of Sooraj, when she said something along the lines of "jab main college me thi, professors kehte the ki IPS..." (something like "when I was in college, the professors used to say that for IPS...") before she stopped herself and then changed the subject.
14) In Singapore, when they went to have their photos taken and she specifically chose a police uniform out of everything that was available. Even Sooraj praised Sandhya and said that she looked really nice in the uniform, and that it looked so natural for her to be wearing it, as if it had been made especially for her. This has got to be a HUGE memory especially for him (seeing as he was the only person apart from the photographer to see her wearing it)!
15) During the final round of the WTC, when she caught Mathie's lies using the evidence that was right in front of everyone's faces (including the organisers who had set up all the ingredients etc) but which no one else could piece together - the rings on the vinegar and wine bottles, and the video footage. (This was the time when the Singaporean police officer present as the scene said that Sandhya had conducted her investigation "like a true cop".) This sequence was a definite set-up by the CVs as a memory for the whole Rathi family (or at least Sooraj, Bhabo and Bhabasa).
16) Also from Singapore, after the WTC final and just before they went to Udaipur (the final scene in Singapore), when Sooraj himself said to Sandhya that if she had been a boy then she most definitely should have been a police officer, and that Sandhya must think that he is a strange husband for suggesting that instead of another (perhaps more "conventional") profession such as being a teacher (little did he realise that he is the perfect husband for actually suggesting that!). Sandhya then asked him what he thought about girls being in the police force, to which he managed to reply that of course they could be in the police force, before she cut him off abruptly. I'm sure he would remember that because that is the first time she actually (sort of) connected herself (girls) with the police, and expressed any sort of interest in it to him directly.
17) I don't know if Sooraj actually heard/noticed this bit, but if he did then he might remember that the DSP's wife mentioned the IPS when she was speaking to Sandhya after Sooraj's WTC-winning acknowledgement ceremony in Hanumaan Gali, and that Sandhya had cut her off abruptly.
18) He might remember what Sandhya had said about the police should have been more careful about checking him and Rajkumar the night when they got stopped for checking but got away without it being completed because someone crashed and distracted the police. (ie. Sandhya's attitude towards security)
19) The time when the police came to ask all newcomers to Pushkar to go with them for questioning, and Sandhya insisted that Rajkumar go to the police station even though Vikram, Bhabo and others were asking them to leave him alone, because this was part of the police's job and they (everyday people) should be supportive of them and their work.
20) I'm sure he'll remember Rajkumar's words from when he had Sooraj at gunpoint on Jhal Jhulani Ekadashi day, about Sandhya having been helping the police to try and identify him and stop his evil plans the day before, and how RK said that they had almost managed to capture him that day. We did see a look of realisation on Sooraj's face at that moment about where Sandhya had been when she had disappeared that day and then came home late with her torn sari, so I think this is one memory he won't forget so quickly.
21) Of course he will remember how Sandhya ran off with Chotu from the temple and put her own life at risk to try and save Chotu from his bomb exploding (cutting the wire with her teeth!), and then how she did it again when she realised it was still armed (again, showing her attitude towards protecting others). I don't think Sooraj could ever forget that moment when she fell over the cliff and then the bomb exploded, poor thing!
22) Sandhya's first words to Sooraj after she climbed back up the hill after the bomb blast and hugged him: "Sooraj ji, sab bach gaye." ("Sooraj ji, everyone is safe/has been saved."), rather than anything about herself - again showing her attitude towards the safety of others before herself.
23) The praise and acknowledgement that Sandhya got from the DSP and the other police officers after that, and the DSP putting his police hat on her head and saying that she was its rightful owner.
24) And I'm sure Sooraj will remember some of the countless number of times that Bhabo or others have called Sandhya collectorni or thanedarni, and the numerous times when she has given her bhaashans (lectures), as well as her attitude towards things like voting.
So, these are all the moments that I can remember - wow, they could make a single episode that just had Sooraj having flashback after flashback after flashback!

The revelation of Sandhya's IPS dream is getting closer and closer day by day, with several such moments occurring in quick succession. Its getting so close that I can almost taste it! I'm really excited to see how the CVs will pull it off.
Please do let me know if you can remember more things Sooraj might remember, as I'm sure I must have forgotten something.
