mean the person is negative

Does having an opinion of their own make a person evil or negative...

We have seen, right from the beginning how Swamini bua always had views and opinions which are different from the rest of the characters..

she believed in her views... she expressed them clearly .. when she does not like some things which are done in an absurd and random manner.. she expresses her thoughts in a rather stringent manner, which obviously hurts others

Does that make her evil.. does that make her a negative character.. for once, I am glad, I came across EHM, a show which has no evil characters..

but read some opinions that Swamini Bua is negative.. is it because she was against VirMan marriage proposal.. is it because she forced Virat to go to office and concentrate on his career ..

I would not call her a NEGATIVE or EVIL character.. I would call her a woman who believed and said what she felt and there are things which she perceived it in a different way from the rest .. for example against VirMan marriage..against abortion..

but she did not go out of her way to make her point .. she did not PLOT against anyone.. she did not SCHEME things like other evil characters in other shows... If given a proper explanation in a placid manner,, she concedes to others views and accepts things for the sake of family peace and honor

at the end of the day.. she expresses her views which are way different from others and finally gives into others views for the family members.. and to top it all HER INTENTIONS were and are never EVIL or BAD..

She is one character, who looks very STERN and is being projected as negative or grey as she is against the leads.. but I do not see her as NEGATIVE.. she is just DIFFERENT because of her differing VIEWS and OPINIONs ..

and I am very glad, EHM is the one show with NO Negative characters ,..NO negative INTENTIONS in any character..

do share your views.. do you all think she is negative.. or do you think she is one person who has differing views which she expresses in a stringent manner

im greatful that EHM has no negetive characters!

And as you said, i wouldnt classify Swamini as evil

Even though i do dislike her very much, i thought that her convo with Manvi was really nice

I just wished she could be happy with both Jeevika & Manvi at the same time without putting either down.

Hopefully we'll get that too!

Thank you for the wonderful topic! I love your points, and allow me to pen down a few of mine as well!

You see, I myself have discussed the same issue with a friend a couple of times. Swamini is by no means evil. To quote you, she doesn't spend half her time plotting and scheming against the sisters. She's just a stern lady who has no qualms in speaking her heart out, and that is very similar to Maanvi. Maybe that is why Swamini now wants to share her knowledge and experience with Maanvi, and take her under her wing. Swamini is highly practical, and at times, emotional. She didn't like Maanvi in the beginning cause Maanvi had unknowingly embarrassed her in front of the the general public. It is natural human psychology to dislike a person if he/she has publicly humiliated you. She was against of VirMaan's wedding not because she disliked Maanvi, but because she was afraid of what would happen to Viraat if -God forbid- Maanvi didn't survive her cancer. Her grief at Jeevika's abortion was perfectly justified, and TBH, I'd have wanted to see more of the Vadheras grieving the way she did. And I dunno if anyone noticed this, but when Jeevika told Swamini for the second time about her ambiguous punishment, Swamini was actually worried. She would obviously NOT want Jeevika to leave the house. Like the Vadhera Bros keep saying, the lady needs time. Time heals all wounds, and it would have made her accept the abortion as well.

I've always appreciated and loved Swamini, even though her attitude may have irked me at times. But to classify her as a "negative" character or an antagonist, would be the blackest kind of blasphemy indeed.

Swamini Bua is not negative, she is a woman of principles with her own weird way of mouthing the matters which she considers right. I say she's not neagtive bcos she does not impose punishments on anyone. Offence to the other members of the household that they subject themselves to capital punishments whenever they wrong SB with*Zoom Zaana music playing in the background*😆

SB is not a Vamp, she's a human who voices the thoughts of her stringent mind!

We make fun of her jus bcos she's the only one who doesnt hv a patented fan base here Lolz..!!!😆😆😆

PS: No offence meant to anyone! Like SB, voicing my thoughts!😊

yeah she never is adamant and try to put her views on others... she argues but never does she force someone to do her way and definitely not the manipulative one

for once.. when i read the WU with her time with Maanvi.. I thought she was trying to put J down by being good to M.. but when i watched the episode.. she was just genuinely trying to get Maanvi introuduced into the vadhera lifestyle and trying to befriend her and know her better

hope she will be happy with both J and M without putting down down anyone -

She is not a villian. She is not the typical drama's manipulating saas kinda person. I would say Swamini bua is a character with negative shades. Yes she has her opinions but most of them turn out be hurting either Jeevika or Maanvi.

I am just copy pasting my reply for a similar thread few days before.

This lady in question is clearly suffering from multiple personality disorder🤪She was sulking that Jeevs aborted to save Manvi and was very rude to her simply because she dint like the close bonding btw the sisters 🥱 Next day, she is all ready to make friends with MannuIs confusing behaviour ko mein kya naam doon

On a serious note, Swamini's character is very confusing and needs to be explored properly. They are showing her goody goody at one point and she makes a complete U turn at another point. This is because creatives are proving a point that Swamini is not a villian, but a character with negative shades. I for one accepted this until before the abortion track. But not anymore.

How can I not call her villian when she clearly feels that Jeevika should have let Manvi die. Though she does nt say it out in open, the way she sulking about the abortion, makes me feel like that only.

Bottom line, her character is very poorly sketched that the CVs twist it anytime the way they want !

Hi all…No swamini bua is not a negative character..

But sometimes she is a little mean… For the instance , recently she told on the dining table that maanvi can never be a good bahu like jeevika…. It might be a truth that she stated.. And she may be straight forward… But she was addressing a person who was awaiting death.. she might have told it differently..But she sounded mean.. But then again tat is the strait of the character swamini…

And sometimes she is swaarthi..She is ready to take the help of manvi , who she dislikes , to bring virat and maya together… She readily blames maanvi to dadaji without knowing what has actually happened..

Some times she is imposing…And sometimes she thinks she is above all and people should listen to her.. the way she was behaving towards maanvi and jeevika when they started selecting the jewellery of their choice for maanvi's wedding, shows that she imposes her likes on others..

And sometimes she does nt follow wat she preaches… She gets riled up when anyone talks against dadaji or does not listen to him..But in the recent times she has been the one to not accept dadaji's wishes..She is not negative because she was against Virman relation.. She is a bit mean for the way she spoke about their relationship…

She may be very outspoken, classy, has different opinions, straight forward and all but then all this comes out in a way such that it hurts the feeling of others… So when her actions comes out in a way tat hurts others feelings she just turns out mean…

But then however she is, she is our very own swamini bua of EHMMBH, and happy that these days she is shown to be a changed person… And I would like swamini bua to be the one to come to know of Jeevs plan on prayaschit and put some sense in jeevs brain that her sazaa will end up hurting more people than she thinks….

yep, she is not downright negative, just a bit twisted...and agree with what sennareni said, her ways are a bit harsh,even though she isnt evil..but I dont understand one point..

why was she angry ? Coz of abortion or coz of the fact that it was hidden ?

If its coz of abortion, then again I dont get it..

Coz she was the one who was most vocal about her fears on Virat Manvi relation..i dont agree with her but I really liked her concern towards Viraat at that point..but then, I dont understand where did that concern go at the end.She very well knew that only J could save M..and saving M means saving V's future and happiness as well, not just J's sister.I know V was very very pathetically sidelined by every character in the show at the end of cancer track, but this doubt never leaves my mind..

considering she was never bothered about sisters' love, why does she choose an unborn over Viraat's whole life ?What exactly did she think of this Manvi or chutki track ? :-S

And if she is angry about hiding thing, that makes this praayaschit track even lamer and senseless than it already is..

Great post Munni.

Swamini is not a negative character but she is has a own views and will not change those for anyone. She is upset with Jeevika's decision yet she is not scheming against her to prove her point. She is just holding her grudge like anyone would.

agree with you to some extent. She is just a very negative person and also very much worried about log kya kahenge mentality!!!

but she does not appreciate anyone elses opininons which is frustrating. as she has no calms on expressing her feelings but never wants to listen to others with regards to abortion track - ok so agreed very upsetting for her but why she only takingit out on j and viren as he supported her. plus now the whole family is supportive than who is she to be so judgemental. if the abortion was required for one of the vaderas would we still see this extreme reaction??
