The cast of the Star Plus show Kkavyanjali seemed to be partying yesterday at Sankraman studio, Goregaon. But this was for the camera. Though given that the programme's ratings have apparently gone up recently, maybe they could afford to party after work too. The upsurge in the serial's viewership has taken place due to "thriller element" introduced in the track. Surely a relief for producer Ekta Kapoor, considering the series had been termed a flop initially. On the sets were Kavvya (Eijaz Khan), Anjali (Natassha) and of course Nitya (Amrita Singh). With the entry of Surekha Sikhri, who plays Kamini, the paralytic Nani, the coming week will focus on the gradual downfall in the evil Nitya's life. When Anjali finds out that Kamini is Kavvya's (Eijaz Khan) grandmother, she decides to expose Nitya. For long Nitya had been harassing Kavya. In a reversal of fortune, Anjali gives Nitya the a taste of her own pudding with Kamini's help by sending SMSes to Nitya about her past life and the Mayank-Pallavi's accident. According to the show's spokesperson, "Since Kamini is paralysed, she cannot talk or move, she guides Anjali to clues that throw light on what had happened in the past. With the use of videotapes, she conjures up images of Mayank being alive." In the coming weeks Anjali (Natassha) will don the garb of a revenge- seeker and make sure that Nitya pays her dues and confesses her crime. But the buzz on the sets was the entry of a new line-up and stars-actor into the show. What better way to pull the ratings up! | ||
