Glimpses of a shaadi..."hatiye...humein unhe daantna hai, itna intezaar karvaya"...Her wait finally coming to an end...Beautifully done, as she runs down to get a glimpse of her husband...Not a care in the world...She is the jhalli and proudly so...
A twist of fate - his mom's back towards the camera, running away from cruel fate and succumbing to it...Khushi running towards it, in hopes of embracing happiness, finds adversity...She decides to fight it... 2 different outlooks to adversity...

Garima & her daughters - Grace under fire!
Loved Garima today. So many allegations against a woman who has been a wonderful wife and a loving mother to 2 girls who are not her own. For a mistake she may have committed unknowingly almost a decade ago. She didn't throw counter punches, she stood there begging to be forgiven. All the while all she thought was the happiness of her 2 daughters who weren't her biological daughters. She could have defended herself by calling papa the scum bag who didn't reveal he was married but she didn't. Coz as a mother she would rather be the accused. She will take any punishment, if only the Raizada's accepted her daughters. Garima so beautifully expressed the helplessness of a mother...She was being reduced to a wh**e in front of her grown daughters, her helpless husband who couldn't defend her honor.
But there were 2 daughters who came rushing to her aid. This was their time to payback. This was their time to stand by their mother who had nurtured them like her own...First Khushi, the fearless...She like her mother was grace under fire. Even before she knew the truth she wouldn't believe her mom could do any wrong. Once she found out, she still stood by her...Her mother who could not hurt a fly would never do the unthinkable, bed a married man & be the cause for an entire family to be destroyed. Payal wasn't far behind...Kudos girls! They made their parents proud... When the going gets tough, the tough get going...

Dadi was plain evil today. Absolutely didn't like the level she stooped to...Lying to Garima, I could take but lying to her grandson's face? The writers to me failed today...So far dadi's portrayal was excellent, she was a woman of conviction, who believed in something and executed it well. Her portrayal was realistic but today they downgraded her to cliche just like they did w/Shyam.
What I wanted to see was a fierce protective grandma who was doing this to safeguard her family & that was her reason to leave the ashram. Shyam was the puppeteer and she the puppet. But in the quest for higher ratings, they have downgraded her to evil...Wasn't Shyam enough? The dadi who was on board earlier was more realistic, an interesting watch. Now it is just eye for an eye.
Whether Garima knew about him being married or not, she still held her responsible for the death of her son & his wife...How can the writers justify that piece of writing with a pious woman who prayed to DM before she left. Pls do not compare this w/lying for a good cause mentioned in mythology...coz this wasn't a good cause, no lives saved with this allegation. Only lives destroyed...
Arnav's decision
What was he thinking? If the FB's were an indication he was torn, the events from the past & his future...His love, his Khushi...A past that he wished to forget and a future he was willing to embrace...Khushi expressing her faith in him, etched in his memory from that night they spent together...If he truly has decided to move on from the past, forgiveness should come shortly...He can never forget the past but he can learn to deal with it...To deal with it, he has to try to understand Garima's side of it... It wasn't just Garima who was responsible; it takes 2 to tango... He always blamed his father for this fiasco & he was right.
If Garima didn't know, how is she responsible? Just like Khushi isn't responsible for Anji's woes. Will his experience w/Shyam-Khushi, help him reconcile with the past & believe Garima' s side of it? He has to at least try to accept it and maybe forgive her...Without that there is no future to this relationship w/Khushi...Will he find it in him to move on?

At this point it is not about Arnav believing if he should get married or not. This goes to the crux of his character. Does he or does he not believe he was once married? Will he stand up & say to dadi, she is my wife; there is no question of not taking her home. My dad didn't stay true to his vows; I am not my father's son. I'm a Raizada. Yes, he needs to stay true to the claims he made in the past, he isn't a Malik.
Will the real ASR rise and say I may not have done the pheras but I married her in the presence of DM and I believe in this marriage. This marriage was just for the family. Since the family doesn't want this marriage, I will simply take her home as my wife. She is my legally wedded wife and this time with papers to support his claim, bas...This is what I want from Arnav Singh Raizada...

Anything short of this will mean ASR as a character has been compromised just like they did to Khushi several times over. My views on marriage is evolving as the days have gone by...From 360 to big fat to none today...After today I do not want a marriage at this point. I want them to be defiant in love. ASR did what his folks wanted, he tried the conventional approach...But now it is "me time" for ASR.

I want both of them to accept the first marriage for better or worse. That in my view is true love, ASR accepts this as destiny and she accepts it as DM's will. This was how it was meant to be... DM is her witness to their wedding & court papers are his witness to prove their marriage. Damn, the society! That will make them a hatke couple like Khushi claimed...Nayi soch...
What did dadi do today? She follows all traditions but lies to prove her point. Traditions are as good as those who follow it... A man who defied the norm and carved his own destiny, will have proved he does indeed believe in it....This will make him larger than life. They don't always have to be bogged down by traditions; they stay true to each other. What I want to see is a hatke couple....A defiant ASR, his hatke soch and a jhalli wife who complements him...bas, SKD much....But I'm a realist, all we get with this new team is dhamaka till I puke!
