I'm actually going to defend Arnav.
For years he never let anyone into his life, he never loved anyone, and all because of his dad's affair (alleged affair) and his mother committing suicide over it..
He was simply a businessman, who only understood the language of profit and loss, unless it related to his di..
He has always been an isolated man who hid his feelings because he could never come to terms with the death of his parents, and he wasn't even given the time to grieve properly as he had to look after his older sister, and find a place to stay after they were forced out of their home..
His life has always been about practically serving his sister and keeping her happy.. He hasn't really lived for himself until Khushi came along.
And these things are all related to his mums suicide which is related to his dad's affair, which now relates to Khushi's mother.
He has hated the other woman all his life.
If he blames his dad for the death of his mum, then surely we would expect him to also blame the other woman.
And now he actually found out who the other woman is.. on his wedding day.
I can't even imagine the pain he feels.
He probably feels guilty and disgusted with himself for even loving Garima as a mother-like figure, the woman partly responsible for his mother's death in his eyes.
And this woman is related to the love of his wife.
And rather than feeling hating Khushi, I believe he is just shocked and dumbstruck as to how this could happen, he seems like a lost child to me.
Khushi did cross his mind, but right now I think everything hasn't sunk in and he most likely isn't thinking about the wedding right now, not because he doesn't care but because there is so much for him to take in that he is just in a state of utter shock. Besides I doubt he would think that anyone would blame Khushi.
Think about it this was, if any of us just found out that the woman we respected and loved practically like a mother, turns out to be the woman who played a part in our own mother's death, how would we feel? Would we really be thinking about anything else but that revelation?
Wouldn't we be dumbstruck and lost.
And what's more we can't even talk to the only person who understands us, and loves us, because that person is the child of the other woman.
How alone and lost would we be?
He loves Khushi and I'm sure that he will marry her, but we all need time to process things, and Arnav probably needs a lot of time...
