Hey Savi, Thanks for your post. It's always good to have the other viewpoint. However, I would like to counter argue. I think all the people wh post in the Fab Perf thread have tried to mind the mods. We have stopped chatting, we have tried to be as inclusive as possible. We have also gotten positive feedback abut that. Soap's post with a curse word was pointed out and soap apologized and we all agreed to be more aware about curse words. But we are humans and sometimes when this thread we love so much keeps on getting pointed out we feel some frustration and take it out with some sarcasm. I don't think it's fair of the mods to shut down the thread because the sarcasm hut their feelings. It's not fair to all us members who participate and enjoy the thread when we did nothing wrong

Well... look guyz..... mods might have had some reason for closing this post.... they dont do just like that without any valid reason behind it ...
This post was here for quiet long.... so if it did not happen for soo long... and it happens now... what does this mean.. just think abt it....
I guess... u all need to just go past this... ...
It is not that .. ur view were not appreciated... they were.. but... as per the ruless.. there might be some reason... for it getting closed...

I think this is an open forum and I am allowed to protest without my post being shut down. I am not using curse words or anything. Sarcasm is not againt the rules. Hurting mods feeling should not be a reason for shutting down a much loved thread.

I think you need to go back and read why that thread was closed, Rudeness, Sarcasm, Disrespect, Swearing(i know an apology has been given, but if it was any other post it would have been closed time ago)

I love that thread. The AF's have made me so welcome there. Beyond the AF's I have met and talked to so many fun people like noor, sim, pooja, etc., We have had great fun discussions/debates that are articulate and interesting. Some Points:

Ok I too have loved the disscussions that take place in this thread, and i also loved our chats and disscussions in the KS chatclub however wether you like it or not the AF is a chatclub chat and disscussion are derived from the same meaning, many members saw that it was unfair that the chatclub was moved yet the AF thread was allowed to continue but although it seemed like favouritism the mods still allowed it to continue.

1. I feel all of us on the thread made changes based on all the recommendations made by the mods. More inclusive, less chatting etc.

yeh im sure you did the Mods were only warning the AF thread for your own benefit, if it was any other post you would have been banned or warning levels raised and believe me i have seen this happen in the chat club!!!

2. Soapaddict whose post started the latest furore over calling Jai Walia a J--- A-- has als apologized for using a curse word.

Yeh she did apologise I agree but many other members were rude on her behalf, now again if this had been in the chat club members would have been banned yet many of you guys have been allowed to get away with being rude and saraacastic again favouratism

3. I have read numerous post/reviews that use works like go--- d---- on a regular basis and these are popular posts and I have never seen a warning, and since the words are always used I am assuming a warning through PM has naver been issued. Than this feels like a case of selective persecution.

I need to point out that i used go--- d----and i was pmd a warning asking me not to use it and since then i have not, but i respected the Mod's decison. If an issue is brought to their attention that breaks rules then it will be dealt with accordingly!!

However, I don't understand why the mods could not give a warning through a PM. I guess they know best. But for a thread that usually never uses a curse word the action was pretty drastic.

Do you know 100% a warning was not given out?it may have been but your not aware of it, i dont think you should speculate. And yeh they do know best because if it wasnt for their hard work this forum would not be so well organised. To be honest i dont think it was drastic they have been warning lightly again for the Af's own benefit so that the thread isnt closed down and it can continue remained open,

me and alot of old members were hurt because your thread was allowed to remain open within the KS section and not moved like the chat club yeh Khoo explained rules were rules, and your thread was going against the rules but still you were allowed to continue.

For one moment pretend you did not chat there and empathise with members who were not part of AF!! this thread has been treated with alot of favouratism and yet the old members not once put up any post saying they were hurt or did you ever hear us being rude against the mods?the answer is no!!So i think its wrong for you all to be expressing your opinions and hurt in this manner...try PMing the mods rather than making it look like you are disrespectful of their decision, for those of you who have been here from the start of KS forum will know Khoo and Monika have always done their job to the upmost effiency never been judgemental or rude...so please cut them some slack...I respect these guys alot and feel many of you are being quite judgemental of their decision.

Sorry if i sound rude but i think alot of favouritism has been given to this thread yet when a light warning was given you turned against those two Mods who were fighting for your thread to remain open.there is no logic in that!!!

I agree curse words should not be allowed. Soap used J--k A-- to describe jai walia and soap apologized and said she would be careful in th future. We all agree children visit the forum and we should be careful. I am protesting that mods shut down the thread because their feeling were hurt. That not fair. Our feelings are hurt also and we did not do oanything wrong. Healthy debate without cursing is the premise of the forum. I feel the decision the shut the thread breaks the spirit of what IF stands for.

well... moudeb... as per I know... the work of AF was appreciated... but what can the mods do... if the rules are set ... they cant help but just abide by them... any person... who ever is responsible to take care of something ..... they need to follow the rules... and thats what mods are doing... okie....

It was not only about rude comments or swearing!! WE are always being nice and supportive of them!

But they were rude many time, they were sarcastic, and they were not following rules!

Besides the mods, one of them made comment on RJ's of IF and also to other members as well!!

What do you expect of us! Do you always want us to stay quiet and keep warning them verbally! Despite all this, me and monika tried our very very best to cooperate, but every single one of them hurted us in some ways and there are so many other reasons that can be listed! We were always willing to compromise, but no, they were not willing to cooperate, and instead they raised fingers on us!

We have to treat every single member equally on this thread, but unfortunately, me and monika treated them as friends and as valuable members and always kept sliding and brushing things away!

I'm sorry to say, we too have self-respect, and if they would like to open foursome club, feel free to do it in the chat club section! Since we made the rules, we have to start doing thing according to that....we have to keep eye on things, if one thing is done to one members, then it should be done to the other too unless it'll be unfair at all!

By the way, there is so much you members are missing: MEmbers with all your respect, if you dont know what really happened & what was done, I suggest please don't comment, as there are reason behind everything we do!!

PS: Btw, the newbies who replied, their IDs will be checked because it might be the same person replying on other's behalf!

hey ....I agree with u becky.... is given a chance to talk about... what kind of work.... our mods do.... I am ready to talk... a lot....

well as I have been here in this forum since starting.... I know how this forum grew... every .. second.. every post, every member.. everything was soo perfect... got me hooked here... and heyy becky u r absolutely correct my dear.... monika and khoo work hard soo much that we can just cant have words to thank them ... we all should be thankful to them... Anything against them is seriously not good...really.... they take out so much of their time.. and keep everything organised.... never ever I saw any such post .. before in offence to them...so its my kind request.. to u all.. u can go ahead with ur views on kasam se... but dont blame the mods for anything...

so just ... dont blame the mods... and please dont make a protest... its not fair... okie...

On the onset let me clear one aspect. I have never undermined the authority of the Mods. They are here to do maintain the decorum of the forum and there is no second thought about that.
I have been in other forums too and have seen Mods take action against incompetent fools who post just to create furore. I have a great deal of respect for their designation, as it is not easy to read all posts and be unbiased in their job.
It is the tone of the admonishing that I do not agree with in this forum. There is nothing wrong in using the words such as please to say things. There is a difference in the way kids are admonished and the way adults are addressed. It is obvious that the mods do need to be affirmative, else their position has no respect, but there is a distinct line between affirmative and dictating.

When things are pointed out, there will always be a discussion, because we believe in expressing ourselves. This is when the abilities of the Mods are put to test to see how well they can handle the situation. Agreed Mods do not deal with this on a regular basis, but they always am sure have help from seniors and can consult on how a reply can be framed.

I hope my post is not taken in any manner to doubt the abilities of the mods, but is taken as a constructive critcism and will be used to improve upon themselves.

I think some of you lot are being ungrateful and selfish, many of us members have been here when the KS forum opened and just like how you are hurt iver this thread and feel attached to it, we felt attached to the KS chat club yet we did not protest or convey our disappointment and we have been here since day one...I think the best thing to do is if you want your thread opened is to PM the mods and allow it to be opened in the chat club section that way you wont feel always targeted or feel you were wrongly accused...and you will also be under new mods there you go problem solved...i think maybe its about time you saw that you were given favouritism yet you took advantage of the Mod's and did not appreciate how favouritised you were!!!
