Vidhya / Maxine,
What you wrote was absolutely beautiful.
Kushi once upon time, the character had this strength. It played off brillinatly against ASR. But since the forced marriage, that Kushi, who has inner strength was sent packing.
Kushi is now nothing but a prop for the rest of the characters in this story.
LM might change her character back or bring in enought changes to see that strong willed character back.
How I wish, a woman, who is the producer of this show, reads these type of posts, and realize that, all though she gets weak in the knees painting a man like ASR on the canvass, it necessarily does not mean, she has to have a weak heroine.
Reading this was wonderful and thank you for showing us this side of you.

I doubt the cv's have that much clarity really. ...

...Ofcourse they'd love to think they are doing something on the lines u've mentioned but in the end their character Khushi is a SP heroine...she will like the other SP heroines again just follow the trend... do the mahaan sacrifices she has always been prone to[without consulting anybody]. First feel betrayed & then when Arnav comes back to her...she'll decide to stay away for his own bhalaayi kind of stuff.

I don't even think she'll be pregnant...and if she is then she'll lose it for sure in some Shyam orchestrated sequence. I feel the deed was done to show that she is now fully committed to him by going the whole way...now she can't commit to anybody even if she wants to...u knw wht i mean😕. Men[chances of new faces to be introduced] will come & go in her life but there is only 1 soulmate and tht is Arnavji.

And so it will continue...the track will get dragged...but again i'm thinking they'll think 'kuch naya dikhayenge' and they'll show Khushi pretending to be perfectly fine and overacting + comedy thrown in 10 episodes. and then a 1 minute scene showing her crying privately...get wht i mean.

I've sort of lost hope. I cd stamp my feet in frustration really...they've got a good plot, good actors but they'll ruin it with their own hands.

Anyways I really liked ur take on the whole thing[tho u didnt exactly commit to anything anywhere😆]...and I really didnt know that much abt Sita...so it was interesting.

...keep em coming😛.

Thanks Nancy! I forgot to respond to this yesterday. Forget the show. The ruination of Khushi was complete when she brought Shyam back to the house. At that moment I lost all hope for this show. They can do anything with it now..I'll watch the Rabba Veys, because frankly it is a matter of habit...and they're both so pretty:) I can't stand the rest of the nonsense.

I just really love the Ramayan and wanted to present a different view of Sita from the usual "mahaan suffering pativrata woman" .

wonderful interpretation..i had seen the topic bookmarked it to come back when i had time..
and i am glad i did!!

i am not very familiar with mythology, and only know the surface stories..
so thanks 4 sharing a much deeper meaningful aspect of it too..cz i have always been one who condemned most of it due to the agni pariksha which wrote the destiny of women to hell for thousands of years afterwards...

even i don't know if IPk will go this way or not..but still even if not, i am glad i got to know this...

thorughly enjoyed reading your note on vaidehi.. Great, ...
Yes, for the Praja Ram is maryada purushothm., for the parents he is the obedient son, who even chose to step onto the thorns in respect to his father's words. . and he was always bound to his duty..
but he couldn't do the same justice to his own wife, Sitha. ! one reason is that, once she becane his half, he might have took it for advantage, might have thought ONLy she can understand him, his decisons, and doesn't need to give any reason.. the worst decision was hiding his decision to abandon her in that forest.. .. never thought she has a face of her own.. which she value..
Even though He was the form of Lord Mahavishnnu , He couldn't shut the mouth of the praja, he couldn't guess what and how it all turn out to be..how Sita may react... wheras krishna was knowing everything ahead and never tried to hide the Devinity in Him, he always exposed the devine power in him.
Ram was the human form of Lord, and Ram never believed Himself as Devine, or may be He never realized it..
i do believe that is why in Rawal, they worship only Vaidehi not Ram..
I too don't want to comapre thesetwo different characters..but tell you, i really wish Khushi to be strong, and the way you mentioned...
Woman has more power than a man. only they can tolerate the torture and look at thing all normal again.. They are 'sarvamsaha'.. but that doesn't mean, she has to take off her identity..she can do it her own way without saying a word loud against anyone, not even to her own pathi...
once again great post.. you analysed it so beautifully in very minimal words.
