Feminist Shiv and Misogynist Jugya

Shivraj Shekhar and Jugya are two educated affluent men from the same Rajasthani background. Both the "ladesars" of their family. But, there the similarities stop and the contrast becomes so stark that one has to ask is Shiv the Anti-Jugya? Did the CVs plan the foil or did it happen organically?

Shiv is patient, thoughtful, and measured.
Jugya is impatient, thoughtless, and prone to overreact.

Shiv at his core is a true feminist - be it insisting that women sit at the dinner table, leaving it to Anandi to decide what if any contact to maintain with Jugya, and respecting Anandi's privacy till she chose to herself share her pain.
Jugya is 4/5th misogynist - He never respected Anandi, it hurt his pride to work for Gauri, and now.Anandi is the villain because she refuses to forgive him. So, the male in him must squash her for daring to not forgive him...and how dare she not wait?...and how dare she move on with Shiv?

Shiv uses his education to give back to the people.
Jugya uses his education as a weapon to belittle others (Anandi and gaonwalas), to pick fights with superiors, and only rarely to the benefit of others like helping the pregnant neighbor

Shiv respects everyone;
Jugya respects none - not even himself varna he would not be the "bhikari" he is!

Shiv stands up for Justice and Just Causes
Jugya continually engages in Criminal Acts (polygamy, assault of Gauri, extortion attempt).

Truly Shiv and Jugya could not be more different. One a calm determinate river giving life to everything it touches and the other a tornado that destroys everything in sight.

Nice post.

Instead of feminist i would call Shiv a gentleman, a true one. I love the respect he has for women, he has time and again shown that for anandi, moms, sumitra, dadi sa etc. Real life mein mil jaye toh i would sure take him home to mom..😆 But apart from women he respects men too and that too of any order.

Jagya..arghh.. In his character degradation i feel more and more sorry for his family, coz they are still affected.

I have actually seen and known people like Jagya, but never people like Shiv. Although some of the men I know do possess some of the qualities that Shiv has but not all those characteristics in one person. So my question is, are people like Shiv exist?

P.S. I adore Shiv. I love him. But I is just curious, just looking for real life examples of Shiv. ;)

If he exists I haven't met him... but, then again I have not met a real Anandi either😆
