I am going with a yes...I think this is going to be a very interesting baby track..in the first place, it is going to clarify that this issue can come up in same age marriages too...so Ashu's age is not the villain here really...secondly, the way Ranga and his family may react to the issue might help Nidhi understand and appreciate better Ashutosh's acceptance of her wishes...this in turn will also help her understand Ashu's desires better...which in turn may lead to the opening up of the baby track...I really like the way the CVs are going about this...hope the execution is as good as the idea!
Sujatha, I second your thoughts here.This could be an interesting opening to the Ashni baby track if dealt with in a logical fashion and not necessarily in a confrontational manner. And I want to add a few of items that I hope the CVs will show:
1. Anji's in-laws and not the baby becoming the contention between Ranji where Anji gets caught in the cross-fire. It will be interesting if the tables are turned here and Ranga will not want a baby till he is financially more secure and Anji will initially succumb to in-laws pressure and agree in principle to have a baby.
2. When Anji shares her dilemma with Nidhi (I am certain she will), I hope she also shares her MILs POV. This will give a new and unbiased perspective to Nidhi about what the older generation think. She may then appreciate DBs views better.
3. When Ranga explains his POV to Anji, I hope he does so at KGH and Nidhi overhears them. I hope he cities AShu as an example for financial stability to have a family at any time but also becoz he is in his 40s he does not have the luxury of the years to wait like Ranga himself. Again this may give Nidhi an unbiased man's perspective and help her appreciate AShu's POV better.
4. If Nidhi's batchmates could finish their internship a couple of months back, then Nidhi should have completed atleast half of her internship by now, adding her initial and latest stints at KGH. So, I hope Nidhi herself will now be more confident of handling a pregnancy and still finishing her internship in the first few months of her pregnancy.
5. I feel the baby decision now rests on Nidhi. Ashu will never object, so I certainly do not want to witness another Ashni debate on this. We have had enough of this. As I see it, the ball is in Nidhi's court and if she makes up her mind I want to see her be pro-active and get pregnant and not spend endless episodes discussing with Ashu. I am certain if she does, he may ask her to wait. But this may be counter productive from the TRP perspective, so no, no discussion with Ashu on this subject anymore!
6. Lastly, an Ashni baby track will probably be a TRP winner, especially if they take it easy and slow, and go all the way and show them becoming parents. Some issues during pregnancy, Nidhi handling work and pregnancy, Ashu pampering her, a boat load of romance, all this could make it an interesting watch. A Ranji baby track will not have the same impact, but if Ranji also have a baby it may be a bonus for hiking TRPs.
