Does that mean Shyam is not connected to the past?

Over the past several days, I have been reading several posts on the forum that Shyam is in someway connected to the past and his hatred for Arnav is much more deep-rooted than it appears. Which was also my opinion, as was obviously the opinion of most of the forumwasis. And it sounds very logical as well. Because, otherwise, there is no explanation to his hatred for Arnav.

But in the ME, we saw that Shyam doesn't even recognize Sr Malik. He doesn't even seem to know the story of the past. Leaving aside the fact that this is so illogical, given last year's barsi which he attended, this also indicates that he has no clue about the past.And he is not here to take revenge.

So, he is just obsessed with Khushi??!!! And so, what Arnav said is right, that if Khushi did not come into their lives, Shyam would still be a good husband?

Pathetic!!

That was similar to a question I had asked earlier in the week as I am an avid reader of REDUX and the theory that Doods had laid out was that Shyam's sister and Arnav's dad had an affair and she was pregnant with his child and because he never married her, the child didn't get the Malik last name legitimately. Garima's connection to the story according to what I had read was that she was asked to marry Arnav''s chacha in exchange for dropping the police case against the Malik's and she refused to do that and that is why Dadi hates Garima.

If Shyam is not connected to the past then his revenge for just being attracted to khushi doesn't really make tha much sense!

Over 50 or so members read my question but no one responded, so I hope you have better luck.

shyam never loved anjali then y did he married her ?? i think not nly bcouse f wealth may be otr reasons will be there ...he dont like arnav...he meet khushi in lucknow ..& wen she came 2 delhi he came & stayed ter as paying guest so i think ter will be also otr stories related to past ... we dont knw khushi & shyam past & also dont knw arnavs past completely...

Yes. I read Doods analysis too. And I felt it is very logical that he has some other motive other than Khushi. The story put forward by Doods sounds much more interesting than what seems to be coming!!

If he is not connected to the past, and if his issue is obsession, then they must at least show that this is a psychological issue and he has other such obsessions in the past. Otherwise, the whole Shyam saga sounds so illogical and irrational!!!

Good post i had already predicted long timwe back someway crepwa is coonected to arshi's past sure ..and it will be shyma who will bring actual past..see one thing is suyre as lm has come the furure tracks after rm will,be intense mu between siblings,exposure of shyma and it will be anjlai who will throw him out of her life sure..adn he will come with all patta chitta to take revenge frm arshi and anjali...bt this may nt happen immdieatelky..

And it will be a pleasure to watch, when and if Anjali does that.

hopefully, there is some connection. He has to leverage something to be there. otherwise, arnav can just kick him out and be done with.
