Now matter how immortal and grand the notions of love; love itself is mortal, and it will fall. One may call this a pessimistic approach; but it is the hard truth of the world.

Look at Devaki; married to a man who died, leaving her a widow. Then she fell in love with another, and he left her a mother. But a mother that could not even taste the fruits of motherhood.

It is not born from anger… it rises from despair…

True words Devi. Absolutely true. But even more; the biggest curse in the world rises from despair and destroys in regret.

But even a curse as strong as mine would have no power if it had nothing to absorb it…

Then both Arnav and Kashi should be free from it. In fact, they are the ones who can set the events right. Let Kashi accomplish what Devaki could not.

A shot at her own happiness, with the man she loves.

Beautiful Devi! Absolutely enamored.

Is Kashi dreaming this?!? Is devaki telling her to let go of the inhibitions and go to arnav?!?

All the while Kashi is dreaming this? Wow...I am loving this...how are their dreams so linked with each other, he dreams about Devaki's child taken away, and she dreams about the whole story...

its just wonderfully weird.

Devaki's story does make me believe in your sole purpose to live, probably for her it was him, for whom she was waiting all along, to give her peace, love, happiness that none of her family or husband ever was able to give. And when he went, she was still peaceful, yes she craved for him, but that craving came from the deep satisfaction that he had given her, and not from the anger or the insecurity that was once plagued her mind.

I know its fiction, but I somehow think this is very very real, not just the dream but the whole story, it sounds so real and magical to me, even if its eerie in a few parts with mysteries unexplained, its still quite fascinating and intriguing.

I don't want to guess who is dreaming what or how they know or what it means. I will let Devi guide me on that journey.

My brain came up with some thoughts after reading this, I just thought I would share them. You tell me if it makes sense. Devaki was Krishna's mom. All her kids were taken away from her at birth. Here too we have a Devaki whose child is taken away from her at birth. Wonderful name selection for the character Devi.

Since Devaki predates Laxmi and Kashi and Pallavi, her pain and suffering has left its mark on their lives as well.

Just like Devaki, Laxmi's relationship was frowned upon by society.

Just like Devaki, Pallavi's relationship was short lived

Just like Devaki, Kashi's relationship is intense despite the fact that they have just met.

Pallavi's comment about the intensity of Kashi and Arnav's feelings for each other in 3 days, comes to mind.

This story has a life of its own beyond the confines of our computer screens. I cannot enumerate the number of times it comes to my mind during the day.

..maybe that is what an ocean holds.. in all its violence, and deep settling calm, a promise to quench what it inherently cannot..yet the promise is only honest, its allure, undeniable.. and its essence ,absolute .

I do not know what is more heart-breaking..that he came to her, or that he left..
