Now matter how immortal and grand the notions of love; love itself is mortal, and it will fall. One may call this a pessimistic approach; but it is the hard truth of the world.

Look at Devaki; married to a man who died, leaving her a widow. Then she fell in love with another, and he left her a mother. But a mother that could not even taste the fruits of motherhood.

True words Devi. Absolutely true. But even more; the biggest curse in the world rises from despair and destroys in regret.

Then both Arnav and Kashi should be free from it. In fact, they are the ones who can set the events right. Let Kashi accomplish what Devaki could not.

A shot at her own happiness, with the man she loves.

Beautiful Devi! Absolutely enamored.

If thats the case.. then my mind kinda just got blown!!

My brain came up with some thoughts after reading this, I just thought I would share them. You tell me if it makes sense. Devaki was Krishna's mom. All her kids were taken away from her at birth. Here too we have a Devaki whose child is taken away from her at birth. Wonderful name selection for the character Devi.

Since Devaki predates Laxmi and Kashi and Pallavi, her pain and suffering has left its mark on their lives as well.

Just like Devaki, Laxmi's relationship was frowned upon by society.

Just like Devaki, Pallavi's relationship was short lived

Just like Devaki, Kashi's relationship is intense despite the fact that they have just met.

Pallavi's comment about the intensity of Kashi and Arnav's feelings for each other in 3 days, comes to mind.

This story has a life of its own beyond the confines of our computer screens. I cannot enumerate the number of times it comes to my mind during the day.
