To me as long as people are not killing others in the name of religion/culture then it's all good.

If Kareena converts to get her name added to property or be officially the Begum and continues to practice her religion then that's her wish. She's able to do it because of our bended laws. Who are others to question her if she's not breaking any. I'm most certain that Begum Pataudi aka Rinku is still a practicing Hindu. It's their private matter.

I'd like to point out that changing names, in islam, is NOT necessary. Ur not obligated to do so, and those that do do it, do it so that others can RECOGNIZE their religion from their name. Either way, its a PERSONAL choice and NOT religious. And changing last names is something youre NOT to do even if u convert. Youre to be recognized by your father, not husband.

So, again, people have religion and culture screwed up BIG time.

I would say culture is screwed up because it puts too many limitation on you. Its easier to follow religion and not give a shit about anyone else because u dont answer to anyone but God. But hey, thats just me 😃

Don't marry the man who is forcing u to convert...what will Kareena do if God forbid they have a divorce...is she going to become a Hindu again..is religion some kind of joke??
