The role of the beautiful Devi Ahalya is played by Rucha Gujarathi.


Some say Ahalya was made out of water and had the same sparkling, pure beauty of a flowing stream. When Lord Indra couldn't bear her beauty, he disguised himself as her husband and went to her. Her infuriated husband cursed her to become stone, and it was only Lord Rama's touch that released her.
