I don't think people have a problem with Aarya romancing. They just don't want Gurmeet and Kratika to do such a scene because you're right, such a moment is so intimate and special to a couple. It should not be advertised in front of the screen because then it makes it cheap. This is simply my opinion. I am not uncomfortable watching a kiss, but I hate it when it's advertised in public because I think it should be done only behind doors of a couple's private home. It's one thing I don't like about western culture, how they kiss and makeout in public.

Moreover, I am not in favor of actors taking part in this intimate moment when they're not a real couple, because like I said, it should be reserved for real couples only. I am not against AarYa kissing, so if the mittals show a kiss scene from an angle that doesn't require the actors to lock lips, I am not against it because AarYa are a married couple.
