In India...everyone who is married..immediately becomes an uncle and Aunty😆...I was 23 when I got married and my hubby was 25 and this girl who is like 18 or 19 started calling me Aunty and my hubby...Uncle🤣..and even at 23 i used to look like a kid😆...i had been just out of school and i was mad at being called Aunty😆😆

no need to adress aunty ...if you want to give respect you can call maam...to your seniors...

do we call our clg or colleague super-seniors(of our field to be precise)...AUNTY...???

That will be freaking crazzy

If you are in good relation, with them, then it wont cause probs...its okie for them

then listen my experience too...we have a small grocerry shop nearby our apartment which is running by a person who nearly aged 45 or 50..my neighbour aunty who is elder than him 5 yrs or above used to call him Uncle Uncle😆😆 it is such a hilarious moment to see his face whenever she calls him Uncle🤣

I know of 2 ladies, who have a few years age difference between them and call each other aunty.ROFLROFLROFL
BTW many ppl who get offended by being called aunty, reply right back addressing tht person as Aunty or Uncle!😆😆😆

In India in the cities the women refer to eachother as Aunty...Its too damn funny...I wonder why they don't call eachother by their respective names...😆

haha, I have so many interesting incidents to report on this. I will just write about one "Aunty" now.
She is our neighbour. I live in US and in my 40s. This Aunty ji is a grandmother, has a son who is ard 35. She does not like being called Aunty. Once her son called me Aunty, I really told him on his face, to call me by name,
His Mom, calls my MIL, My Mom, My other neighbours MIL as Aunty. And my mom is almost the same age as her.
Now, just to piss her off, I have started calling her Aunty.
About the other Aunty after some time.
