Varun Dhawan may replace Shahid in a movie

It is rightly said that one's loss always turn as other's gain. Same thing is happening in the Bollywood town these days where Shahid Kapoor's loss is becoming newcomer Varun Dhawan's gain.

It is notable that Varun (son of filmmakerDavid Dhawan) is all set with his forthcomingStudent of the Year (SOTY) though his debut project has not been released yet but it seems that the newcomer has already become a favourite of the biggies of the tinsel town.

As per the industry sources, the actor may do a lead role in director Maneesh Sharma's next which was earlier supposed to be essayed by Shahid Kapoor. Being tied with his prior commitments Sasha is not able to do the project.

On the other hand his SOTY co-star Siddharth Malhotra is also trying his luck for the same part. A source added, "Nothing is official yet, but Varun has managed to impress Maneesh and Aditya Chopra (the film is produced by Yash Raj Films). Karan is also going all out to back his discovery." Rumours are doing the rounds that Parineeti Chopra may be roped in for the female lead.
