In today's age it doesnt make any sense, but our culture is like that only mate..

But here the situation is not like Having boyfriend = breaking parents' trust.. It's about having boyfriend when you are not supposed to.. I mean just look at Raavi's age.. Yes there are few examples that at this age itself people choose their best life-partners and spend whole life with them.. But in most of the cases you will find break-up.. Cuz this is the age of hormonal changes hun.. And as you grow up, your values / outlook / maturity changes.. your preference changes.. and you might not end up liking the same person when you are 23/24 i.e. actual age of marriage.. Hence, people end up marrying a different person altogether.. Now the problem lies .. it means you hung out with a guy for like 7/8 yrs and you r not marrying him/her.. 😛.. this is unacceptable by our parents..

Out of all these reasons, they decided to draw an easier conclusion / decision - You shouldnt have BF at such early stage.. 😛.. so yeah !

Studies / Concentration / Career these are also der.. most of the middle class families are veryyy sincere about studies.. So this is also a worry for parents that we will be distracted.. 😉
