Excuse the title, but I couldn't think of anything suitable to write.
I've watched a whole load of Hindi serials in my life (of 17) and yes, I've consumed a lot of Indian traditions and cultures (Even though I'm not Indian/Hindu myself). When I first saw Raghav falling in love with Sia, I thought it was not going to work because a) she's already married and b) An unmarried man with an already married woman?
Even though I'm quite logical with my thinking, ie. in real life I would not care about this, I was quite shocked when I thought about Raghav and Sia. Is this because of the views of Indian Television?
And to add to that, when Raghav found out about Sia...he didn't look at her as being already someone else's, or whatever and even when the Singh family found out. They didn't care. They didn't make a big controversy.
Taking everything, I've concluded that even though I'm quite "modern" when it comes to things like this, it's the way media is shown (ie TV) and what they saw such as women should get married once (for example!) that made me think like that. I really applaud the CVs for taking a difference approach. I think the Singh's are such a diverse family: headed by a woman, there's a doctor, a modern girl, and then there's Raghav, the caring son. I think if I had to choose a "perfect" (and I use that term very loosely) family of Indian Television, it would have to be this one because yes they do have their secrets and what not, but I love how their morals are more prevalent that anything else.
