Music composer Anu Malik joins the bandwagon of name change like most of the celebrities based in numerology and tarot cards. So the superstitions man has lengthened his name and changed his spelling from Anu Malik to Aanuu Mallik now after consulting numerologist Niraj Mancchanda. Neeraj offers his explaination saying, "His name now comes to number 33 which is Lakshmi's number. Earlier his name – Anu – came to number 12, which meant success after a long struggle. If you have noticed, he never got credit for the work he did, be it Border or even Murder. Though the music did well, credit eluded him. But no more! Aanuu is very talented and he can look forward to a great new phase November 2 onwards." Hope that the name change will give Aanuu all that he deserves!

I still believe that a Rose by any other name would smell as sweet. What is in a name afterall? Pagal ho gayey yeh sub filmi log - I guess "Superstitious" is a more polite word to use ......

Did you notice - it's always the strugglers and mediocre artistes who go about changing their names in the hope that something would click. Waqt bura hota hai to sab haath paaon maarte hain.

The actual talented artistes never see a need to change their names - whether it's the top actors, singers, MDs, film-makers, or even sportspersons.

Reminds me of a saying I heard once by a judge in old SRGMP.

Kuch logon ne tadbeer se taqdeer badal di
Kuch jyotishon ko haath bataane mein reh gaye

But he had changed it once before to Annu Mallik. 😕

The guy changes his names so fast that by the time Mata Lakshmi realises that this is the true person whom she has to bestow her blessings on, he has again changed his name to something else leaving the poor Lord in a lurch

In fact, Najam was so peeved when he saw the Indian lifted version on the TVs recently and decided to get back at them by adding his song to the song's footage from Murder and aired it as a new music video for his track in Pakistani channels!
