Shyam wanting to come back to RM...

Sorry all but I think I missed something. Why exactly does Shyam want to come back into the RM? I mean he knows that everyone hates him and everyone knows what he's done so exactly is it? Is he still in Love with khushi and wants to take her away from Arnav...? It's not because he's genuinely in love with Anjali so why????
