Kangna splits from her British boyfriend

After a year of dating discreetly, earlier this year, Kangna Ranaut came out in the open about her relationship with UK-based doctor Nicholas Lafferty. In June, Kangna was spotted in his company outside a Bandra cafe during his trip to Mumbai.
In fact, during that trip, Nick, her boyfriend of more than a year, was spotted with her at several public places in Mumbai. At that time, friends of the actress had told TOI that the duo are in a "committed space" and that's why they've become comfortable being spotted in the open together.
However, TOI has now learnt that earlier this week, the couple decided to part ways. The reason of conflict — their expectations from the future. Apparently, Nick wanted to take the relationship to the next level and Kangna wasn't ready, professionally and personally, to take that plunge. Says a source, "Nick wanted to get married and have babies soon. He had that immediate future in mind. However, even though Kangna's very attached to him, she is not ready for that commitment."
Apparently, the 25-year-old actress felt that she is now treading a path of steady growth and would like to achieve her goals first. Says our source, "She is very focussed on her career right now, so, she felt it was too soon for marriage. She discussed it with Nick and a few days ago, they amicably parted ways."
Kangna didn't confirm the news despite being messaged for comment.
