^A very intresting thought.Sometimes the patient is brought in such a condition that it is almost impossible to save them. And moreover I have seen many relatives holding up a doctors collar and threatening him like Bach jana chahiye!!But in most of the cases doctors are responsible and to top that there are a large no. of doctors in the country who are practising without a valid degree.

People practicing without degrees or with fake degrees are committing a crime and the IMC should be taking strict action but it does nothing. These fake doctors are mostly responsible for killing patients and give the profession a bad name. We get to read about cases of doctor with BAMS degree (Ayurvedic) performing surgery on patients when they are not qualified or licensed to do so. There was this case of a BAMS doctor cutting off a women's intestines in an attempt to remove her uterus. The women died.

Today itself there was news of an imposter being caught in AIIMS Delhi . The guy had been posing as a doctor and duping patients with promise of an early admission. A senior resident from Neurosurgery first suspected him when he could not discuss the surgical options suggested and the game was soon up for the imposter .Heck the genuine doctors hardly have time to fight these cases in court.
