When Bollywood Outdid Hollywood

By Taran Adarsh, December 07th, 2004 - 1145 hrs IST

This is one instance of Bollywood outdoing Hollywood. We've heard of Hollywood films being premiered in Hollywood first [rightly so!] and then in Bollywood. But this was an exception!

Warner Bros. and Shravan and Shunali Shroff of Fame Adlabs hosted the midnight premiere show of the keenly anticipated Hollywood flick OCEAN'S TWELVE at the plush Fame Adlabs in Andheri on Saturday night [Sunday morning] and the invitees comprised close friends of the Shroffs.

OCEAN'S TWELVE hasn't been released in the U.S. yet [it opens on December 10], so, naturally, a number of Bollywood names were more than eager to witness the sequel to the successful OCEAN'S ELEVEN.

Akshay Kumar came in with wife Twinkle, while David Dhawan was accompanied by wife Lali and son. Sabbas Joseph [IIFA], Harish Dayani [Saregama], Mukesh Bhatt, Nikhil Advani, Rohan Sippy, Sujoy Ghosh, Anant Mahadevan, Arshad Warsi, Soha Ali Khan, Preeti Jhangiani, Samir Soni, Rohit Roy, Shawar Ali, Puru Raaj Kumar, Aditya Hitkari, Divya Palat, Kabir Sadanand, Vicky Tejwani, Nigar Khan, Dipanita Sharma, Rakshanda Khan, Vikas Bhalla and many, many more stayed wide awake to catch the film.

A night, sorry morning, to remember!
