i hope there is more to this then just an 'affair' we waited more than a year to find out what the past is and i expected it to be a bit more twistful than that

Based on what has been revealed the suicides are certainly not justified..unless there is more which is still be be revealed.
From the looks of it, Arnav comes out to be the strongest emotionally.
At the age of 14 he managed to take on responsibility which, his mother, father, and dadi conveniently ignored, and his sister could not handle.

You are absolutely right! Dadi was right. Arnav's mom was selfish. And so was his dad. They both only thought of each other and not the kids. If garima is that woman, I hope Arnav understands that it's probably not her fault. Somehow I want dadi to be shown responsible for it all as she is the evil one.

He is very responsible towards his family.Be it Nani,Mami,Anjali or Akash.
Just wish he understand that Khushi is also a responsibility.

i guess he does understand that now, especially cause of the way he tries to make sure that no one can hurt her; but he also takes her for granted at times...but as we see the bond strengthening it seems that she means a lot more to him now that he had perceived earlier

I agree with you their behavior seemed so puzzling. Maybe they will reveal their past a bit more clearly in the future, showing us that Garima and Arnav's dad were having an affair...

Also one thing I don't understand is why on earth is Dadi mad at Khushi and not Payal? I mean Khushi isn't Garima's daughter, Payal is...or does Dadi not know about this?!!
