Okay, I'm not good at Science and hence medical stuff. So, this chapter may seem filmy! I'm sorry if it's bleugh but its what I originally wanted to have. And what else that Jhanvi saying her goodbyes? Hmm? Hope you enjoy it!
Chapter Thirty Nine: Finding The Light
"What? How?" Maanvi said.
Beeji sighed and decided to tell Maanvi everything; it was inevitable to not say.
"That night when you called them, they rushed home. It was raining, but they didn't care. All they wanted was to see their four year old daughter. But fate had another idea for them, on the way they had an accident. I didn't even know what happened until I got a call from the hospital, when I got there I saw…"
*Flashback*
"Ma!" Jhanvi rasped out.
"Jhanvi beta, what happened?" Beeji asked frantically.
Jhanvi was on the hospital bed, wired up. Her health was deteriorating fast.
"Ma, there was an accident. Our car collided with another." She tried to breath but found it difficult. Mahinder is gone, doctor said he's in a coma." Beeji cried. "Ma, please don't let Maanvi know. I don't know what will happen to me but please don't tell her, I don't want her to be hurt at this young age. Don't tell her anything until I'm dead, ma. I don't want her to be waiting for me forever. Promise me."
"I…I promise!" Beeji finally said.
Jhanvi smiled for what would probably be the last time as she closed her eyes and fell into a deep sleep.
"Doctor!" Beeji cried out. "Doctor!"
The doctor rushed in, and checked Jhanvi's heart and breathing. But it was too late.
"I'm sorry, but the patient has gone into a coma."
Beeji cried, her son and daughter have gone, she didn't know when they'll revive. But she waited, every day for them, for Maanvi's sake.
Soon days turned into months and months into years and Maanvi had first thought they were in a holiday. Every day Maanvi asked about them but Beeji never said anything. She kept her promise. She wouldn't say anything until she was sure Jhanvi and Mahinder were dead.
*Flashback ends*
"Coma?" Maanvi whispered. Beeji nodded.
"I had promised your mother. I'm sorry." Maanvi nodded understanding Beeji's plight.
"That means my parents are still there right?" Beeji nodded.
Maanvi was quiet for a bit, taking things in. "Can I see them?" She whispered.
-
Beeji took Maanvi to the hospital in Hrishikesh where Jhanvi and Mahinder were. The Vadhera's and Jeevika's parents came with them, along the way Viraat never once let go of Maanvi's hand.
They stood behind the door that led to the last part of the mystery. Maanvi hesitated to open it but with support from Beeji, she opened it and walked in. Everyone except Beeji stayed behind, to give Maanvi privacy and a chance to take things in. Jeevika sat down with her head kneeling on Viren's shoulders. They prayed that Maanvi would finally find peace and live her future life happily with no regrets.
Maanvi walked into the grey room, she hated it instantly. It felt dark and gloomy but then she looked down and saw her parents sleeping peacefully and smiled. It was the only thing that brightened up the room. Her parents.
Jhanvi and Mahinder laid on separate beds, the life support machine protecting them from death.
"The doctor told me to let them go. But I couldn't. I just couldn't," Beeji breathed out as Maanvi stood in between the two beds. "I,..I spent every penny that I could find to keep them here, to the point where I sold everything, our gold, and even our second house. I sold it."
A tear fell from Maanvi's face as she held her father's hand. "Papa…" She whispered hoping that he'd hear her. But there was no response. She looked at both her parents, "I'm not angry at what you did, you brought me up even though I wasn't your daughter," She sniffed, "You told Beeji not to tell me what happened to you because my life would be incomplete. But what needed to happen, happened right? It was written in my destiny that I was going to meet you for the last time. I love you." She said to them.
Maanvi kissed her mother's forehead and cried. A tear fell onto Jhanvi's face and in that instant moment, every thing changed. It was as if God had listened to her request, a chance to say goodbye for the last time.
"Maanvi." She choked out.
"Ma!" Maanvi gasped. Beeji watched as Jhanvi came to life, not interrupting as she knew that her time was very limited.
Maanvi held her mother's hand, "I love you." Jhanvi said. "I'm so happy that our daughter is so grown up now." She said, her breathing were uneasy. "I knew one day I'll see you again and I have." She looked at the lifeless Mahinder. "Beta, we should have gone long ago. But, being stuck on this machine…we couldn't get peace. And how could we? Without our Maanvi."
"Ma…" Maanvi cried.
"Listen to me, beta. Don't ever lose hope. If you ever miss me, look to the stars and you'll find us, me and your papa looking down on you, supporting you. Hm?"
Maanvi nodded. Jhanvi smiled, "Promise me that when I'm gone, you'll take us off this thing and get us peace? Promise Me?" Maanvi nodded, tears falling down without fail.
"I love you…"Jhanvi said.
"I love you too, mama." Maanvi replied.
And with a soft goodbye, Jhanvi closed her eyes and became lifeless once more. Maanvi wanted to cry for her parents but regained herself, she had her promise to keep.
Maanvi walked out of the room absentmindedly with Beeji following. A doctor came into view and Maanvi maintained her promise, "Doctor. Please take my parents off the life support machine." She whispered. The Doctor nodded and did as he was told.
She watched as the doctor took off the one thing stopping her parents from leaving, Viraat held onto her hand telling her that he will always be there for her. Maanvi smiled, she finally felt as if she had found the light, and her parents had finally found peace.
The final tear fell from Maanvi's eyes as she watched the white cloak cover her parent's face, they were gone. But not forever, she knew that her parents will keep their promise that they'll always look over her.
Maanvi hugged her newly found mother Padmini, her father Siddarth and her sister Jeevika. She smiled as she embraced her family and then at Viraat, who with she'll spend her whole future with.

I know she is elder and she knows thateach thing has to be told at a precisetime... Okejj I don't mind, that onlymeans that you will have to update moreand I will be able to read more...I am getting sad now actually, whenever Iget a PM I am afraid that will be the lastupdate, and this beautiful FF will end...And you are doing a great job!I see the Vadhera's as a sweet family too. They don't judge, they look at what the peopleare worth from inside. Though Swamini doessometimes irritate me, I knwo she just wants thebest for her family.
