I've always been a DD fan only :) From Muskaan to Geet, and now Madhubala. I've seen her journey and admire how she has evolved as a performer. But I agree with what you have to say about VD. I must admit, I had my reservations at first! But I was wrong. He is too good as RK and has stamped his authority over the character completely! He and DD complement each other very well onscreen.
