I have felt from the beginning that Ashaji somehow never gave Vipul the credit he deserved, even when he sang really well. I felt Salim knew that too. She always found something negative to say. Whereas with Dev, even though he did not sing up to par, she always complimented him. I got the feeling that she knew Vipul is a much better singer but she was backing Dev the whole time maybe because Lataji also liked him. Today's episode was the first time I noticed that she gave Vipul due credit and appreciated his singing for the first time. She probably realises that he is a better singer for sure than Dev.
Also in today's episode for the first time, she told Dev that his singing was not quite up to the level that was expected at this stage of the game.
Indian Idol 6 has been disappointing but I honestly believe that from all the singers Vipul deserves to win.
It is also not appropriate for the judges to tell Vipul that he is likely to win. I watched the X-Factor and defintely was shocked that the contestant that won was the one who deserved it the least - I think his name was Gurmeet or something like that. He totally was not deserving and I think the results was most unexpected!!!
