Adi's motive

He wants Sugni to help bring his mama and mami together. I assume he is going to demand Sugni to teach Reva what makes TVS happy and also reject/humiliate/demonstrate that she has moved on so that TVS will stay with his mad wife.

adi in his childhood saw his father reject and ultimately leave his wife for a Bedni which reulted in his mom contemplating suicide. she did not do it because of adi but the event has tromotised him. So im his mind TVS marrying Sugni and keaving Reva is history repeatin itself.

The problem is Reva is unstable/mad, TVS is not like his father so will take care of Reva, and unlike his father TVS fell in lovewhen he thought Reva was dead ie. He did take up with Sugni while Reva was around. So he is imposing his view that TVS will not do to Reva what his father did to his mother.

The fact that its not his right to impose how TVS should live his life just does come into his thinking.
